  1. do i use the smd dd1 to set my ssf or just the bass gain
  2. not sure how much it's moving never really check it yet there really no telling when it happen's its all random on the time when it does so i could be sitting for who knows how long before it does but one thing i did not put down is as i turn it down i can still hear the sound but very quite. my gain on my amp is set about little over a quart of the gain so it's not at half way yet. i set the gain on my amp by ear and i watch the sub and listen to it and same with the ssf to when i start hearing the sound change i back it down a bit but never to the point where the sub would clip. so i am not really sure if the sub sound changes at 800 watts or what before it clips since this my first time hearing a sundown audio sub so i did not want to take the chance to find out.
  3. ok guys i need your help here not sure if i mess up my sub or if i just broke it in. i have a single sa-12 d2 running at 1 ohm with 800 watts into it. the box i built is a 1.75 cubic feet box tune to 32hz. on my amp i have my lpf set to 80 with a 24db slope and my ssf set to 28hz. the reason i believe i may of mess up my sub is because i can be playing a song that hit's real low for a while to where my mirror and window will start shaking and after a while i start hearing this sound coming from my box not sure if it's the sub or box but i am guessing it's the sub. the sound sounds like the coil's are scratching or something hard to really tell so i took my sub out of the box to check the sub out. the coils look like brand new from what i can see threw the vents where the basket sticks on top of and when i push down on the sub i hear no sound coming from the coils and the sub still feels a little stiff. but ever since this happen i had to turn the gain down and my ssf up or else the sound will come back again. so i was thinking about re coning the sub and going with the spl coil's hoping i can keep my 800 watts if not up it up some more. the amp i have right now is a mb quart onx1.1500d which can do 1500 watts at 1 ohm. so i was wondering if i mess up my sub if that is the problem would it be better if i re con the sub with spl coil or do copper ?.
