  1. tweeter amp - no more that 75 x2 really needed to sound good and loud ...

midbass driver amp - 150 x2 or better should be needed to get those frequiencies out ...

I am a Sound Quality Audiophile type Guy ... I think of better sound and loud at the same time ...

I'm not a guy that wants my bass drounding out my mids and highs ...

So I recommend to sound loud and clear ... not loud and obnoxious ...

I was only planning on putting around 75RMS to each tweeter and 125RMS to each mid..

Even though I'm using the crossover, I'm still controlling the frequencies thru the amps right?

  2. Depending on your power needs you may want to use a 4ch amp bridged on mids and a nice sized 2ch amp on highs but it depends on what your personal preference will be in regards to how much power you want to run.

I feel there is no such thing as too much power and the more the better, with more power you will hear and feel dynamics you can't get out of smaller lower powered amps it's one of those you need to hear it first hand to understand kind of things.

EDIT: With more power you have lower distortion, lower noise floor and an overall cleaner sound.

Why would I use a 4ch bridged on mids, why not just use a 2 channel?

  3. ok ...

benefits of running 2 2-channel amps would be for a 2 way active setup ...

smaller amp on the highs (tweeters) and larger amp on the midbass drivers ...

or 2 identical amps for each passive component set ...

this mainly depends on how you want to set this up ...

My question would be why you think you need 2 component sets up front ??

I want it to be loud and didnt really think one 6.5" mid and one tweeter on each door would do it..I'm not real sure I understand what you said either..2 2-channel amps or 2 identical amps? If I use two amps, they will be identical..

  4. no real benefit. 4 channel will save space. might be able to get more powerful 2 channel amps but you shouldn't need that.

It is actually a space saver for me to go with two seperate amps..I can mount them under my seats n not in the trunk

  5. So I recently purchased a D3400 for my build, it was going to replace my stock battery. Well, it doesnt fit, I swear I measured three times :peepwall: Well I decided to just buy a D1200 to replace my stock battery and mount the D3400 in the trunk. Two questions, Do I have to run a ground from battery to battery or is okay to ground the battery in the back, to the frame? and Which battery do I run off of to my amps?

  6. define actually loud... my car hit a 149.7 on the TL outlaw but when closed full tilt on music u could hear the mids more predominantly

 I have never been to any shows or sat in a "150" or anything. The loudest system I have heard was two 15's (not sure on brand) getting around 1500RMS each in a 01' Explorer. I couldnt even see straight driving down the road. That was TOO LOUD!!..IMO

yup i did bc mine was rattling some after adding the bass... mine wasnt bad thou but the 300s are. just hope u dont have to but if u do just gotta tackle it

I was only kidding...haha didnt know if it would work on plastic! My worst fear was my sunroof, especially bc I cant get the headliner down to deaden the roof..I can only reach a small portion thru where the rear dome light is/was..
