I noticed most people are getting more output with these subs tuned in the high 30's low 40's range using 4" or bigger ports. from what i've read on other threads a 4" dia would be more efficient than a 3" dia. That the 4" could move more air but would decrease the velocity of the air being moved

3" diameter 17" long port area 7.07"squared. port area per ft 9.06

need help with my port right now my box is .75cu with 1.5" baffle and i have 1 3" flared pvc port 36hz on 700w and its just not getting loud enough I want to switch to a 4" but was wondering if it would be too much port for the 8". its going to be in a 92 toyota pickup extd cab ill be tuning higher also

I had previsouly did the zuk mod (jeep xj coils in back to help with heavy loads) so i cut those out they gave me 5" lift the back . Brought it back to where it was with original saggy leafs and lowered the front 2". I like it so far you no longer have to hop up into it now you set down in it. The axle flip might be coming up next week

i was going to lift my yota but dont have the money and i like a nice lowered mini truck. before i get replies like "why would you drop a 4x4" i live in an area that gets a bunch of snow in winter so i need it. now to the the lowering part. from what ive read 2wd yotas came factory with the leafs under the axle and 4x4's had the leafs over the axle could i just take the leafs off and put them back on under the axle? For the front a tech at the toyota garage said that i could safley uncrank the t bars for 3in of drop so thats what im going to do.

i want to build a daily and spl box for a single sa8 v2. Already checked out spl gains thread learned lots of tips for gaining but not actual box construction My problem is that i know nothing about building a spl box like what frequency to tune to, small or big, 45's and whare to place them? They are going in my ext cab toyota pickup for now it will be ran a 4ohm on 750w. is there a middle ground between daily and spl?

when i got the truck it only had 2 blown crusty old 4"s in the dash, new alpine HU, added 2 new pioneer 4" in the dash, the kickers are in the spot of old storage pockets so i cut some 1/4" ply wood to hold them and bolted them into the sides my amp is under the passenger seat and as you can tell the sub is where the flip up seats are. the only piece of wire you can see is the one going into the port.

Thanks guys it was my first time building its an L shaped port. yeah my mids really started moving when i got one of those alpine plug and play amps its like 45w rms to the components. my HU is on -7 for the bass so it dosent go any lower. the wind picked up after i started filming so thats why the paper was blowing around so much. Even though i would like to think a single 10 could move that much air

finnaly got aroung to building my own box for my single 10" polk dxi running on 700w 1.2cu ft, tuned to 32hz i rounded the port edges and all the corners inside the box so there are no 90* angles. heres a vid playing some lil wayne. ill make a better one covering my whole system / install and when its not windy as hell and raining.
