  1. Yes, the XP3000 does have smaller pads than the D3100. That is a limiting factor in the instantaneous power output. Like has been said many times the XP3000 has less instantaneous power than the D3100. It has even been brought up that you couldn't use the same buss bars to hook up XP3000 and D3100 together, because the terminals are different.

The pads on the XP3000 is actually like the old D3100 pads, and they still have close to twice the surface area that the other battery in that video has.

hey man, can you do a load test like in

his video? im pretty sure it'll only be 10minutes of you time.

and it will make us all happy, you can just compare it to the d3100 if you dont have other batts

It is rated for 3000 watts, So do a load of about 250-300 amps for X amount of time. Would like to see 30-60 seconds. We know its not the d3100 so no need to compare them at 500 amps. I ordered two of them and am very curious to see a test on this battery.

well i just compared the xp3000 to my d975, and the d975's terminal pad was larger smh.

  3. First go with OFC 1/0 and do at least two runs of both pos and neg. or at least 2 grounds from rear batteries to frame not chassis.

I already have the cca so that's not an option :(, I meant 1 run of neg from frnt bat to rear bats and I run from frame to rear bats .

Why would I need so much wire if the cable is rated for 300amps and my alt will only put out about 250amps once warm, the front bat should not provide the rest of the 350amps that the rest of the wire is rated for (600amps 2 runs of 300amps)

  4. every one that ive used works for a month or so if your reguarly using it, after that it works like shit, i dont suggest them thats just my 2cents

the problem is i do a lot or working on cars on the go (i dont own a shop, so usually in the streets or backyards and stuff) so i dont always have a power outlet near me.

snap on has one that is amazing. but being snap on... who knows cost wise.

i didnt even know they made that lol. they look pretty solid, but from my research they simply are rebranded weller irons, so im going to look into which specific weller is the snap on.

    here is one on ebay.

    http://www.ebay.com/...=item1c22f877e8

    pretty cheap

i saw that one, but if im not mistaken thats only the iron. No tips case ect.

i sent a message to the seller to confirm this

  5. hey guys, i am currently looking for a good butane soldering iron. I checked the one Steve uses "steinel ts 600" i really like it and it looks good but the cheapest i can find it is for 140. I'm looking to spend max 80 for one. I need it to have a torch (for heat-shrink) feature and if possible a little carrying case but the case isn't mandatory. What would you guys recommend. I currently have a radio shack one and it takes for ever to heat up, so this new one has to be quick.
