Looking for someone thats personaly put in or heard subs on a boat, preferably someone thats heard 15s and 10s on a boat....
My install plans as of right now and already have everything (other then Sub amp)
Polk MM6501 (MoMo Series 6.5 Component set)
Polk DB691 (DB Series 6x9s)
Polk PA660 (4channel amp to run the interiors)
Now this is what im trying to decide....
I have a pair of 15" American Bass Subs 500rms ea but their not marine rated like Polk so they would have to be in a sealed enclosure
and I also have a pair of DB1040dvcs (polk 10" dvc subs roughly 270rms) but they are marine rated and can handle moisture so I could put them into a ported box.
Im really leaning on the 15's... now the question is exactly how should I be mounting them...
Right now my boat is a split window but NO seating up front, this spring me and a few buddies are going to be making it a bow rider.
this is where the subs will be installed... under the seats.... BUT do I mount them at the feet pointing twords eachother... or should I mount them back under the seat about 2' from the opening to get a good resonance shooting INTO the boat or mount them flush to where your feet would be in pass and drivers seat pointing INTO the boat.
I plan on having storage under or behind the front seats.
Any ideas?!?!?!?!?!?!?
