Hey Jacob I sent you a PM but your box is full!!!!
But really people when you email Jacob don't just say my amp doesn't work. The more detail you give the better. Also give your real name not screen name.
-
\Yesterday customs was still playing with them. So we'll see if they keep to the original ETA.
Crap!
-
Why is that? I have heard of sundown amps being picky but why use the cheaper rcas?
Not sure why Sundown amps like the cheaper RCA's but they do. I know a lot of people had issues running the highend RCA's, but as soon as they switched there were not more issues.
Jacob can explain it better.
-
That would be a no on the folded horn unless you want to wall it. As far as a regular ported box a common chamber will be better.
The size you listed should give you all the room you need. Double up all the sides you can with some good bracing.
-
If you are running a Sundown get the cheapest RCA's.
-
Wonder if one of those modules will work on my truck?
-
either a up-spiral or a down-spiral
-
what kind of a router bit would i use to cut holes?
quarter inch bit
-
Check out some Sundown Z's.

Im sry to be clutter the post but should a 12" bl with extreme lead, p champfer, flatwind take 2000 rms at 1 ohm daily? The website says it'll take 1500.
Yes, it will take. but it you have doubts you could always turn the amp down some. That will also help to keep the bad clipping monster away.

500@4ohm
1000@2ohm
2000@1ohm
Rated at 12.8 volts
Thanks for the reply does anyone know the 2 ohm power output? I have a dual 2 speaker so im guessing the lowest i can go is 2 ohm correct? Its for a fi bl 12" with all options and i would need 2 fuseholders one at bat and one at the amp?
You can parallel your dual 2 sub down to 1 ohm and get all 2000 watts. You would need 1 fuse holder at the front battery and one after the back battery with a 200 amp anl fuse (search ebay, any one on ebay will work well).
-
A 200 amp fuseWhat size external fuse does this require? 250 amp anl?
Edit:
-
so port them so that they are pointing to the seats right?
NO, point the subs forward and the ports to the drivers side on the side of the box.
-
Let me give you some advise, one trunk car guy to another.... fire the subs forward and get two 6 inch aeros or four 4 inch port to the drivers side.
-
ok so subs up forward port. how do you tune a box with aero ports
Same way as slot ports, by the length.
Two 4 inch ports would work fine for two 12 inch CRV's. In a 4 cubic foot box just cut one of the straight sections in half for a tune around 34 hz.
This is a 4 cubic foot box that I built for a guy with two 12's and two 4 inch aero's.
-
It will buff out...
-
If you use aero ports it won't take up as much space as a slot port so you can make a smaller box. 4 inch aeros are only like 13 bucks each...
-
like your setup right
I am just going with what I know works. Subs up port forward got me a 148.6 off of 2000 watts. Just need to make sure you got about 10 inches from the trunk lid. However, subs and ports forward will pound like hell too.
-
subs up port back right
No forward... fire the port foward!
yup.No.
2, 3 or 4 firing the port forward.
-
I can run a mile in 1.15.
-
Damn, I thought from the heading that it was a 2.5 roundover not two .5 roundovers.
-
I don't think your leaf springs are suppose to bend that way.
-
ok. im probally gonna go w. just 2 b.c all the wiring, batts, and wood will be over $2500.
Think about it this way.... buy the subs and amp while you can get them at a good deal. Then save up for the other stuff. Nearly everyone buys stuff a little at a time. You could run two subs on the 3500 at 2 ohms in a cheap box while you save up for the rest of the stuff. You may not even need a battery running the 3500 at 2 ohms.
-
Jacob will get you straight.ok thanks. im not sure what im getting yet. but im definatly gonna place an order by may 15th.
