Well thanks for your help. I have previously set with a DMM for 1200 RMS but I knew that amp could put out a little more so I didn't know what the best way of going about it was.

What is better to do. If I'm looking to get just a tad more of bass and I'm already at 75% of volume of my head unit (26 of 36). (a) Is it better to turn my deck bass adjustment +5 or ( just turn my gain up on my amp? My amp Sundown 1200D gain is set to around 80%. I figured it would be better to turn gain on amp since the deck could be clipping after 75%. Thanks for your input.
