Mechman!!!!! I told a local audio shop about your company a while back. I told them that I would have gone with your alts if I had been more educated on your alts before I purchased the one that I have. But the owner of the shop called me the other day asking for the alt company that I use....I told them that if I were them, I would call mechman, and if it wasn't for them, to pass on the word. I do believe you have a far superior product than most, if not all the alt companies around these days. Reppin for ya mech!!!!

look it up. mythbusters tried it and could not find it.

sundown 1500. get an mla for your car to up voltage from your stock alt, and it will up the wattage of the amp. the sundown saz-1500's are stable up to 18 volts. FTW!!
-
Could be a heat issue. The computer controls the output voltage and even if nothing is wrong with the alt, if it is getting too hot, the computer will cut or lower the input signal to protect the alt from overheating. But remember that the computer is going by the stock alt setup. Mine does the same type of thing and I even have the MLA module. Even with the MLA....the cars computer still controls safetly of the alt. Get it checked out on a machine....if it checks out and they send it back, don't be surprised if they say nothing is wrong. It might be working exactly the way your vehicle's computer is telling it to.

Not sure if your nephew is a hunter but make sure he never has that and a shotgun or firearm together in a vehicle its illegal. On a side note those are bright as hell man let me know how good it works I was looking at those on ebay a while back ive got a 5 million right now but I want to go bigger lol
wow. did not know that. Thank you for the info. And it is incredible!!!! I live in suburbs, so I don't have too much room to mess with it too much, it will light shite up BLOCKS away!!! It is absolutely the brightest light I have seen besides the sun. Oh yeah, I was beside a train and in front of it driving down a road and looked back out my open window and thought to myself, man that spot light is WAY brighter than those lights on the front of the train!! Just my perception, could be wrong. I have already accidently blinded myself with the spotlight. NO BUENO!!!
His parents will hate you :01nocomment8so:That being said... id do the same thing, lol.
Yeah. He has absolutely no use for it, and his dad(my bro in law) is more of a kid than my nephew. I had to give him rules as well.
-
yes, rules will be in order. If he messes up, or his dad, I will have a new flashlight!!!
-
LOL!!! Im trying to show him that if your gonna do something, do it big.
-
My 8 year old nephew asked for a whistle and a flashlight. I'm guessing to play police. So I went to Dick's sporting goods and got him a real nfl/nba referee whistle, not one of those cute crappy ones. I got him the badash one. But that is not the really cool present. Of course we will get him a regular flashlight, maybe a maglite, but this is the "flashlight" I bought him. I think he will trip. Like I said we will of course buy a real flashlight that he can use, but I like going overboard. Here you go........................, this is it.. http://www.shoplocal.com/lid-2090795113pri...r-spotlight-.fp the lense is 8inches or more across. Absolutely INSANE!!!!

welcome. Nice ride. Literally, my favorite ford.

t-line, if you have the room. sub up, port up.

i leave mine at 125.is that bad?
too high for my likings, and I don't believe its bad honestly. I have heard of people setting their lpf at 125 to match their hpf for their comps so there is no loss of frequency so to speak. I run my hpf at 80hz for my components. But that matches the lpf of my subs too. I prefer lower but can't say that 125 is bad.
-
80hz. but from what I understand, 80-100 should be fine.
-
i never played with alpine units, but I know with my 2v pioneer, and my 5v excelon, I have the sub level on the HU set at 3/4. Works great.
-
cause there not gona be available to the public for awhile yet....both can take that power if your smart w em...make sure you have one hellva electricle to back up them amps! HO alt or 2...and some batts!
understood about the wait, but preorder is now, and with plan time, they might arrive before he gets the amps, depending on the cash flow. But I agree. both can handle the power if your safe with the enclosure design and electrical, and how you treat them.
-
why not go with the new AA/SMD subs. they are rated at 3500 rms.
-
nice setup meade. once all that weight is added, you gotta be able to stop it. like one guy said before. your rotors are bigger than my 15's in my trunk!! props to ya mane!!
-
I think so. Can't really tell if I gained quality, or SPL, But I DEFINATELY gained. It tickles the hell out of my ears. I'll probably get it metered on Monday at NW Audio.
i wanna go!!! I wanna go!!!

I have 2 15"q's each in 2.06 cubes after displacment with 2 pounds of polyfill in each enclosure with 1000 on each, and they are ruthless. oh yeah, in the trunk of my sunfire. i can run 500 more watts to each with this setup, but they slump as it is.
-
dude, i can't say that 145 is for sure gonna happen, but I only have 2 15's in sealed enclosures in the trunk of a sunfire and i do 145's. so, it is very possible, depends what you want the system for, if your gonna tune the vent to a really low frequency, you might not get there, but there is no telling with no details like your electrical, and a for sure enclosure and all. very possible though. I know of a suv that does 148 on music with 2 15's and he kept his back seat.

I have a couple of questions about t-lines. I know that certian speakers work better in t-lines than others. What am I looking for as far as T/S parameters to figure out what will work? Do you need alot of power to get these things loud? I have read foreverbumpin's tutorial and have learned alot but am intrested in building one without some 500$ sub and 1500$ amp. I am on a budget right now (isn't everyone!?!) and would like to show that you don't need a shitload of equipment to have great sound. I don't mind building and rebuilding, but I would like to get started in the right direction. Thanks!
in foreverbumpin's tutorial, he does a build on the first and second page and he is not using a 1500 dollar amp or 500 dollar speakers. it says in the tutorial what t/s parameters work well. you can pm foreverbumpin, or you can pm kandiman. kandiman built his himself for a 10" fi ssd and he has had people guess that he has 2 or 3 15's. He has that one 10 and his body panels and dash just beg for mercy. its insane!!! hit one of them up. and much props on taking on a t-line project. hope all goes well.

congrats steve. that is awesome. can't wait to see them in action. I guess when I come up from kc I will be hearing those!!!!!!

Okay it's really easy to charge a car battery at home with only simple things you find laying around.
First you will need
-A box of lemons, six or more
-6 copper plates
-6 carbon rods
-Assorted alligator clips + cable
Stick a carbon rod and a copper plate in each lemon respectively. The copper will be your (+) and the carbon will be your (-). Now using the alligator clips and cables series the box of lemons together to achieve a higher voltage. You can parallel banks of them together if you want more current to perhaps jump start your vehicle. But if you're just after a charge seriesing them to achieve a high voltage and low current should be adequate. Keep this in the trunk of your car and it can be an emergency jump start pack in case you break down.
Hope this helps
ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!

Please help. Sometimes photobucket will let me log on, sometimes not. But it never lets me get into my album once I have been able to log on. It just puts up the "this webpage cannot be found" screen. I did not have this issue till we got att uverse. I f'n hate it!!! If someone knows how to correct this, which i have sat on the phone with att for an hour trying to figure it out. They said it is not on my side or att's side. Also, if anyone knows of a different photo sharing site, or whatever its called. Image hosting site, please let me know. Thank you very much!!!!
