  1. but most stealers would be drawn to your vehicle if you had 26s on it then stock rims...but people have already broken into ernesto's ride
Learned my lesson the hard way...I'm taking the new car only to work (I can always see it almost impossible to break into)...and to friends house...No mall or none of that shit for me and if I do, valet parking and removing the plate (pretty paranoid cant you tell)...Not to mention the new alarm will have a "unique" siren...a little scary if you break into it...That will be the very first thing I do to the car.
  2. Ok here's the deal...after having the car broken into and it having a shit load of problems with it I've decided to ride stock until December when I have to turn it in and more than likely getting a new tahoe.. I really want to put some 26"s on the tahoe.... The job I currently have pays about $750 every two weeks (not much)... And I do have some money saved up but the 26"s are about $8,000...

Most people normally put rims on before a system...I personally wanted to put the rims on before I did anything but here's the situation...I right now have 3 BTLs in my room and want to order another one...Do I just go ahead buy another one, buy the batts and the alternator and complete the system the next year in 08 when I join the Police Academy and get paid better go for the 26"s or do it the other way around? Save now for the rims and when I get the better job finish off the system??

Here's what I have right now for the system sitting in my room:

    Pioneer Z2 (on the way)

3 BTLs (ordering a fourth if I finish it off, now)

50ft of 1/0ga wire (need way more)

about 50ft of 8gauge (speaker wire)

    Two SL5500D amplifiers

Most people tell me rims not knowing exactly what kinda system is going in but once I tell them they either change their minds or stop and are undecided like I am right now.

    Suggestions...

  3. My friend has one pushing two 15" L5s and has been doing a great job at it...It has never turned off on him or nothing and he really does abuse it...Stock electrical and it has never turned off...IMO good amp for the money.

  4. Honestly if he is concerned about rubbin and turning he should stick to the 22's cause the 24's will create an issue on larger bumps and driveway areas (like turning in to a driveway or entrance) but if thats not an issue for him tell him go for it. 24's will fit, but I dont advise it. We usually do 22's

Thanks for that advice man ill let him know...His driveway isnt flat either, its uphill kinda. Pretty much an upside down U going up and then back down.

  5. My friend has a stock charger but he would like to start customizing it by adding some rims on it...Originally he was going to go with 22"s but after looking on cardomain and some local shows we have seen a few chargers on 24''s... I told him I think he's going to have a hard time turning with the 24"s on a charger but then again I have never driven a car on 24"s...

My question is if any of you have installed 24"s on a charger or 300c (pretty much the same) does it rub and if so how bad is it? Could you sit 5 passangers without it rubbing?

  6. haha..u guys r funny...i was looking for pics of steves tahoe so i could do some photoshoping on it, but in the midst of it all Saltines mom called me and told me she was coming over so i never got to finish.
