That's why I say it can be done...Look whose behind the install ;Di still think it would be difficult even with a wall. the back of the escalade isnt that big. 4 18s in a wall is a tight fit especially when you go ported. but i wont say it cant be done. not with meade doin the install

I think it could easily be done if they do go with a wall.6 18's would be CRAZY its just the lack of room and air space that could be a problem...... what are the specs on that amp anyways? i seen a video of it playin a wall of subs and midrange speakers. for 21,000 that better put out at least 21,000 watts heh.

well SOME of us put 5,000 on each sub not 4,000... ;D and daily. Its alot of work but it can be done.
Some of us actually have the knowledge and money to do those kind of things. For example Steve Meade, im sure you know who he is

Look im not here to start "flame" wars with nobody. I want this forum to be like termpro, but better. Nobody is here to insault anybody or what they think.
But seriously he's saying he's getting four 18" Solo Xs. That right there is $2,500 eBay pricing! Locally is going to be near $4,000.00 in just subs. How can you ask if it sounds good. If it was me I would personally hear this sub in person before I go on and purchase FOUR of them. What makes it worse is that it's a square 18" subwoofer so even if you don't like it, what can you replace the box with? Nothing.
"One 4,000watt amp on each subwoofer". Sounds like a complete noob. Most people hear 4,000 watt and automatically asume it does 4,000 watts. They don't know that means MAX/PEAK.
And if he was to put "One 4,000 watt amp on each sub", does he actually think he is going to be playing 16,000watts of music? :-X
I'd like to see what electrical setup he plans to run and what amps he's going to be running.
Like I said, im not here to bash nobody but don't come asking "will it sound good on music" when that sub was made pretty much for SPL purposes. You rarely see them playing music rather just being burped at shows.
If he would he stop and read a bit he would have considered the MTs since he doesn't mind to spend money. MTs sound better and are more for daily driving than a Solo X is.

Your talking about the ones that you can lock with an allen wrench?i haven't been to lowes or home depot (nearest one is 35 minutes away) but the local true value had no clue and no one in the chat rooms and stuff knows what their called not even snoopdann or loyd.

BTLs FTW!what if I use 4 RE MT 18's? think it could do a 166.1? I will be using an 18v setup. Also thinking about Iasca, want to try to do a 167.5 in IDBL Advanced 4.

I honestly think you don't know what your doing. How the hell are you going to say your going to buy four 18" Solo Xs and then ask "do you think it will hold and bump good music". You should know that by now.

I totally agree. If I had your truck, RF stickers would be what I'd rock. I wouldn't put an RE sticker on my car ever since they sold the company :V I actually wanted to put a sticker on my ride like you used to have it (of RE). My biggest supporters get the spotlight on my truck....RE has been good to me but RF is on a whole new level. Besides the RE sticker was on there 2 years and was gettin weather and wiper beaten' -

Yeah I will be fiberglassing a lot of the inside and using some steel rods I have. Double layering the top, fiberglassing the corners.
