I like RF's amps. Their subs are decent. They just cost too much.
-
My cousin has an 06 ram (Hemi). Came with 345hp. He raced his neighbor who has a F250 pretty hooked up, doing some where near 425hp-450hp....Anyways the F250 spanked my cousin.
My cousin is telling me that when he adds a "chip" to his car, exhaust, and intake he will have some where near 500hp. For some reason im calling BS on this.
What do you guys go to say about this?
-
Great! Now I have a section to go to when my dad decides to do a little some thing some thing to the F-350 (2003)
-
Got pics of it?
Make sure to say whats up next show, I'll be there.
-
Random question...About how much have you spent on sand paper?
-
I decided to go with FI...I placed my order already
-
UPDATE**
Just found out what they are...
Guy told me he connected a Police siren and then ran an amp to it. GHETTO
-
If I had an accord fiberglassing would be the way I go
However I know you said that you don't want to build it into the trunk.
-
Yep. Car Show King is correct. I attend just about every show..I may have missed 2 last year. I will more than likely be attending the upcoming show unless I have to work. I won't have my setup by then but I still go.Ernesto, are you talking about Car Show King? I am pretty sure you are, I go to his shows every time he has one. Which car is yours? Are you going to the next one on the 27th? It may not be the Term-Lab but it still shows who is actually the loudest I guess.
My car is in my avatar.
What car do you have?

LOL I have never used 18"s till now. I used to get 15"s since Kicker doesn't make any 18" except the Solo X.hope you dont get disappointed. this is bout the only forum i am on that people actually use 18's!!! i guess i joined the right forum.
BTW- I just paid for the BTL.
-
Im going with an 18" FI BTL. With all the options.
Ordering it today so I can get started on the box and just take a look and admire it ;D Then when I get paid im ordering more.
-
Same thing I was thinking...Just about every one I know that makes boxes knows how to measure their trunk space.sorry bro, i dont have a 95 Accord Coupe handy......
if your building a box for someone then why dont you measure it yourself? Seems like the easiest way to me ;D
-
If they were still $500 I wouldn't have had to make this thread. Plus IF I did need a recone for them they're too expensive. For that I'd rather go with FI.y not mts'?
-
Im pretty much settled on the Solo X or the BTLs...My concern for the Solo X is will it be fine running off only 1,700rms (each sub) for a few weeks until I get another two D5000s for each coil?Isnt the Dd 9510 a 10" sub?? if it is I would say the solo x 18 kills it.
now I dont know much about the DD Subz but people are having good results with them, so maybee thats something to look into.
and if you have 1300 dollars you can get 2 BTL 18's and still have some money left over, yea they havent proven much yet, but someone has to be the guinea pig. lol
I havent counted out the RE MT's yet, Im still debating
-
x22... ??? ???hmmm just what are you guys upto????
-
Don't you think the Solo Xs would blow them away, SPL wise? Im looking for some thing similar to MTs, just not MTs.2 9510's?
So far im considering Solo Xs or FI BTL, either choice in 18".
-
I have 1,300 for subs. I was thinking of going with two 18" Solo Xs. Before I do I wanted to see if anybody here suggested any thing else? This is going to be a really loud daily driver as well as for competitions.
Suggestions?
-
I love RE too, Just wish they would still offer us the old pricing. Atleast for the members that have been on the Official RE AUDIO forum. I wouldn't have to be thinking so much about what setup to run if the MT was still $500 shipped to my door :-Well, I have nothing against RE, I know what the MT can do I have heard them in person and absolutly LOVED getting my head blown back by Steve's hoe. I got nothin but Respect for RE, and I may end up running them still, I havent decided agianst them at all.
The Atomic's are a great sub as well, I have never heard them play music like the RE MT's but I have seen them Burp a 161.1 while taking a shit load of power in a SS 1-2 car.
both subz are just a tad out of my price range, But I havent decided agianst them, Im just looking at all of my options before I spend some serious cash on some subs
-
LMAO!my van will be next HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAlmao
-
X2, David...I totally agree with you. I have set my mind that I am not going to go with RE Audio. As much as I would love to have the MTs, I don't support the company. Simply because it isn't what it used to be.
I am undecided yet about these subs. I am really really tempted to give them a try ;D I've known about these for months now and have been waiting for them to come out...Decision time now...I got $700...should I sell the HCCA D5000...collect my next pay check and buy four of these?? ??? Or buy Two 18" Solo Xs ???
How much cubic ft do these suckers need for a ported box?
-
LOL Dammn Steve is project after project...I wonder what the next project he will come up with while he's in the middle of installing the RF amps
-
Finally there out!! Screw RE. After going through missions looking for a decent price on the MTs, I could only find 1 or 2 things. I've been waiting for this company to finally come out.I found a new company that makes some impressive looking subz http://www.ficaraudio.com/
they say on the site 2kw RMS but every sub is custom made to the customers needs
you can get them made to handle more power and they intrigue me.
this is the description for the sub im looking at the BTL18
Superior Sound, this is the company I was referring to that would go against RE ;D
-
I've said it beforeSTeve is without a doubt the Car Audio [glow=red,2,300]GOD!!![/glow]

Just wish I could meter my shit with a REAL METERReally, why bother. I mean, we all know better but some people you won't beable to change no matter what.
It's like the guy that was into competiting years back comes up to you and says "a 150? shit, back when I did it everyone was doing that. You should be at a 160 bro."
Now one could point out all the wonderful changes made with the new meter but, That type of person just didn't "get it" back then and still won't today.
My advise is go to the show, hit your bigger number then you would on a TL and have some fun.
I tell people all the time about my truck,
