  1. My cousin has an 06 ram (Hemi). Came with 345hp. He raced his neighbor who has a F250 pretty hooked up, doing some where near 425hp-450hp....Anyways the F250 spanked my cousin.

My cousin is telling me that when he adds a "chip" to his car, exhaust, and intake he will have some where near 500hp. For some reason im calling BS on this.

What do you guys go to say about this?

  2. Ernesto, are you talking about Car Show King? I am pretty sure you are, I go to his shows every time he has one. Which car is yours? Are you going to the next one on the 27th? It may not be the Term-Lab but it still shows who is actually the loudest I guess.

Yep. Car Show King is correct. I attend just about every show..I may have missed 2 last year. I will more than likely be attending the upcoming show unless I have to work. I won't have my setup by then but I still go.

My car is in my avatar.

    What car do you have?

  3. Isnt the Dd 9510 a 10" sub?? if it is I would say the solo x 18 kills it.

now I dont know much about the DD Subz but people are having good results with them, so maybee thats something to look into.

and if you have 1300 dollars you can get 2 BTL 18's and still have some money left over, yea they havent proven much yet, but someone has to be the guinea pig. lol

I havent counted out the RE MT's yet, Im still debating

Im pretty much settled on the Solo X or the BTLs...My concern for the Solo X is will it be fine running off only 1,700rms (each sub) for a few weeks until I get another two D5000s for each coil?
  4. Well, I have nothing against RE, I know what the MT can do I have heard them in person and absolutly LOVED getting my head blown back by Steve's hoe. I got nothin but Respect for RE, and I may end up running them still, I havent decided agianst them at all.

The Atomic's are a great sub as well, I have never heard them play music like the RE MT's but I have seen them Burp a 161.1 while taking a shit load of power in a SS 1-2 car.

both subz are just a tad out of my price range, But I havent decided agianst them, Im just looking at all of my options before I spend some serious cash on some subs

I love RE too, Just wish they would still offer us the old pricing. Atleast for the members that have been on the Official RE AUDIO forum. I wouldn't have to be thinking so much about what setup to run if the MT was still $500 shipped to my door :-
  5. X2, David...I totally agree with you. I have set my mind that I am not going to go with RE Audio. As much as I would love to have the MTs, I don't support the company. Simply because it isn't what it used to be.

I am undecided yet about these subs. I am really really tempted to give them a try ;D I've known about these for months now and have been waiting for them to come out...Decision time now...I got $700...should I sell the HCCA D5000...collect my next pay check and buy four of these??  ??? Or buy Two 18" Solo Xs ???

How much cubic ft do these suckers need for a ported box?

  6. I found a new company that makes some impressive looking subz http://www.ficaraudio.com/

they say on the site 2kw RMS but every sub is custom made to the customers needs

you can get them made to handle more power and they intrigue me.

this is the description for the sub im looking at the BTL18

Finally there out!! Screw RE. After going through missions looking for a decent price on the MTs, I could only find 1 or 2 things. I've been waiting for this company to finally come out.

Superior Sound, this is the company I was referring to that would go against RE ;D

  7. Really, why bother. I mean, we all know better but some people you won't beable to change no matter what.

It's like the guy that was into competiting years back comes up to you and says "a 150? shit, back when I did it everyone was doing that. You should be at a 160 bro."

Now one could point out all the wonderful changes made with the new meter but, That type of person just didn't "get it" back then and still won't today.

My advise is go to the show, hit your bigger number then you would on a TL and have some fun.

I tell people all the time about my truck,

"If you don't know, then you just don't know"

Just wish I could meter my shit with a REAL METER
