Ive been to a few car shows recently and im noticing more impalas and older cars with "outside speakers". It plays music, outside the car. LOL...I was just wondering what kind of speakers do they use for that? Are they just regular components or a certain kind of speaker?

Syko, YGPM.

Damn as bad as I would like to go with the MTs for now it's looking like it's going to be the Solo Xs unless I get an "incredible" deal (comparing old pricing to new pricing) on a pair of MTs

Whoopsnahhhh this box is right around 20 with 120" of port. I know, not alot for 4 18's but its all i could do in this particular situation. The 300" port your thinkin of is on the box i used when i was running 2 18's.

What do you have and where are you located? What are you looking to spend and where are you at?
The shipping on one of those things is killer.

I think I read it is 23cubic ft and 300 sq inch of port. I may be wrong though. What kind of airspace and port area do you have in that?

TTT...still looking for some

x2 same here...Now I just got to learn how to make my own plans :-Very good box Meade...Funny, I was going to make a thread to do a buildup on the Tahoe like you did with the Navi but I wasn't sure if I should since maybe you wouldn't like that.Box looks great Steve. And from it I learned how to do removable ports. :)Thanks.

LOl seriously..I knew if I built the car I would more than likely match the wiring...ahahahahaha, retarded people building cars , now that's interesting lol, other then that, good job lol ;D
Also it was the only thing I could think of that may have worked.

LOL only thing I would do to an SUV's engine is an intake and exhaust (mainly for looks!)Teh sleeper look = teh win ;D, I rather max out the engine first, then get the luxuries, Power > Luxuries ;D

Got it working
I had to cut the positive of the turn signal so when I turn the lights on (just the signals, orange bulbs, no headlights) tied them together and tied them together using electrical. Did the same with the negative of the turn signal (that was it's ground).
It was really confusing though because who ever made this car was completely retarted. You would expect each wire to be the same but no. Right wires that were positive were green and orange and on the left side yellow and blue. Only thing was that both sides had black negatives so that helped (a little).
This allowed the projectors to get the "halo" effect working. Now my lights have the halo effect when I have them in one.
Then I had to do the same thing with the + & - of the HIDs. Was pretty easy after that. Now the HIDs turn on when I switch it into "two" and the halo effect is still on with the high beam surrounding..Looks pretty cool imo.
I will get some pics for you guys

Let's say you were to buy a brand new 06 Lincoln Navigator...Besides putting some tints on that bitch what would you do next?
Audio or some nice rims?
I see the navi that Steve worked out had rims before the system.

Holy shit lol last night sucked...I had to drive home from work with my High beams Not too many people liked it and I also took the long way hoping I would run into less people which I did but still there were a lot :-[
Hopefully the shop can help me out really quick before I go in to work again at 12

Turtle wax has worked good for me.

They are plug & play...They are more of a blue color 9500K...they change though depending on which way your looking at them...so are they REAL HID's or what........what about wiring up the ballast/ignitor? Bill, i didnt know you had HID's which brand/color (ie 7000k like mine)?
Ballast is already wired...Like I said they don't turn on with the projectors but they turn on right away with the factory lamps.
I forgot to mention that the headlamps has a wire (blue) coming out of it that we tested and it came back as being +
-
This is what some guy said that has an older expedition with older projectors (not exactly same as mine)
You need to tap the turn/parking light wires for + and - . A plastic wire tap works best. That makes the leds work when you have the parking lights on or full headlights.
The main headlight simple plugs into the stock headlight connector. The silly 2 other wires are not needed, I just cut them off but I guess you could just tuck them in.

Brand is GP thunder..fuses are fine because when I went to put back that factory headlamps they turned on fine.got a pic of the HID kit? Both my tahoe and my civic have 7000k HID kits so i do know a little somethin' about them. IF you dont have a pic, you have a link to the model? Also i hope you know how to use relays, i use them even on the "plug and play" setup because thats never the case. My Tahoe was blowing fuses like mad until i did that.
Im sure it's some thing with the white and red wires.

Sister took my camera for vacation > I would of thought it would but the wires are way too small for me to ground some where...instructions don't even make sense...I'll see if I can borrow a camera tomorrow.do any of the wires ohm test to the chassis of the unit? maybe a pic will help..
I like pictures
Ill do my best bro.
I have an 05 expedition and these are the lights

OK like the title says...I got the projectors for my expedition today and it came with four wires (per projector) two are red, two are white. I know they're there for a reason but I don't know why. My factory headlamps did not have this. I tried installing my HIDs into the low beams and they don't turn on at all. Turn signals work and so do my High beams but the low beam doesn't work.
All the instructions say is:
Connect the black line (no black line!) to the negative electrode of the park/signal/side marker lamp
Connect the red line to the positive electrode of the park/signal/side marker lamp
Anybody ever done this or under stand?

If you had to pick between the two your choice would be...

Dad's F350 got broken into today
in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"

Well yeah...now I have a "feeling" what Steve felt when they took his civic. While my dad was at work today, my mom and sister decided to go shopping at one of the biggest malls in Florida, Dolphin Mall. They decided to take my dad's F-350 since they were going to be buying a lot of things plus had to do groceries afterwards so the big bed was needed today.
As most of you know you can't really park an F350 in a regular tight parking spot so she parked it in the back where there were a few cars. As they were walking back to the car I was on the phone with her to let her know that I was going to go out and such when I hear my sister screaming in the backround. Then my mom "oh shit they stole your father's radio!". So I got on the nextel and radio dad to let him know. Of course he got all upset (with reason) and left work to go look at it.
They some how broke the lock of the passanger door got in and stole the following:
10" Panasonic Flipdown w/DVD player
Sony Headunit
Headphone that came with the flipdown
Digital camera
CDs
damaged the subs (got mad because the couldn't get them out it appears).
They also broke the carpet on the roof with some thing like a knife or a new flathead, poked it thinking that the wires on the flipdown where there.
They also ripped off the tray that holds your glasses and the meter the tells you your MPG, miles to empty, and GPS. Cut some wires thinking they could get them out.
These guys must have known what they were doing because you couldn't even tell the car was broken into from the outside. Im actually impressed by the way they got in. I expected a broken window or some crow bar dents.
So yeah...My dad arrived & completed filing a police report.
Bad news:
(1)Insurance deductable
(2)More than $2,000.00 in loss & damage
(3)Car got broken into, period.
Good news:
(1)Possible surveillance footage
(2)They left behind the glasses holder which they broke so there may possibly be some finger prints on there.
(3)Broke into a cop's vehicle, so that may help a little.
Let's see what turns up tomorrow when my dad goes to the lab to test for any finger prints.
