I stumbled upon this while reading up on some enclosures.
Stuffing a sealed box with a fibrous material can increase the low end output apparently. Is this really true? I've never heard of this. Itd be nice considering I don't have any room for a bigger or ported box
-
Well ima try it out and hopefully I don't burn up my level 4s haha
-
I was just wondering if the clipping indicator on the bass boost knob is actually accurate or not. 3.5k btw
-
I don't know why I said head unit, I meant my amp for the front stage haha
-
Pretty sure I found the problem. Stupid noob move. I let me little nephew wire up my 6x9s...walmart and he wired em wrong so it was too big of an ohm load for the head unit to handle properly I guess. I still get drops in voltage but I think it'll be fine while I buy a new alt
Thanks for all the input though

And its a 97 trans am ws6

I just don't understand why the subs keep going and the door speakers stop
-
That would not be good. It seems pretty accurate though
-
Edit* they dim haha I think I need a new alt :/

I JUST installed a dc 3.5k, 2 dc lvl 4 m2
My electrical is a xs 5100 up front, xs 3000xp in back with a stock 140 alt with the big 3. My problem is when I get nice and loud, my door speakers and stop playing while the subs keep goin. I have a stock volt meter and it doesn't look tooo bad, my headlights don't dim. Any input is appreciated

Would anyone like to sell me a charger for cheap? I just got a d5100 and xp3000 and didn't even think to buy a charger, totally forgot. This would be much appreciated.

12v controllers are easy to find and install, I put one in and installed LEDs in the foot wells, works amazingly, only thing is mine didnt have a wire for acc. so i had to wire it into a toggle switch so i could stop the controller drawing power even when the lights were off, which was a PITA and would if been easier if I got one that had it included the acc wire. just something to look out for
Well i want to find one that is synchronized with the bass
-
i guess i wont do it then...maybe i can get a control box of some sort?
-
But it'll be cool

Just wondering if adding LEDs to the speaker terminals would cause a resistance rise or make the system go haywire and blow up haha. Any input is appreciated.

does anyone want to build me a box?
-
you can build a bigger box than the one you are planing to buy plus i think its too small for the sub, Cody told you they are okay for sealed but what cubes?
On the dc site it says 1 1/3 pretty sure
-
is it just me or does any one think he should wall the somebich
Haha I don't want to take out my back seats
-
Everyone will suggest NO and to do ported. In my opinion, those Camaros and Firebirds got loud and sound great no matter what you do. If you are comfortable spending that much on a box, go for it. You could certainly build it cheaper yourself though.
I couldn't build a table let alone an enclosure haha, itd be nice though

I'm planning on buying a pair of dc level 4 m2 12inch and I was wondering if this box would be fine.

I wish I can have a bigger or ported box but I just don't have the room in my firebird
If this isn't good enough and someone could build me a better one please let me know haha
Thanks in advance

Very interesting. I read that it increases output up to 40%. I might give this a try. Where would I get the material. An also, is it subwoofer safe? I don't want to burn em up due to lack of ventilation haha
