  1. nah i totally understand that i figure ur the only one on here who listens to me n im almost pretty sure its 4ohms dvc the kicker its just 230am n i just got home so i cant check do u have aim if so cud u possibly pm me it plz so we could talk easier and thanks alot i decided to face both the subs away from the back seats but my back seats r only the material n the foam nothing else on the kicker box it only has one positive n one negative i havent opened it yet i bought it off a friend

K Thanks I just have another question i have a really small trunk n i made a 12 inch L5 kicker fit with the box and i have my 12 inch earthquake in there would having them both connected mess up my system since i think the kicker is DVC and my Earthquake is SVC? cause i had it on last night like that n it didnt seem like it was messing up. Also i have the kicker facing my seat but the port facing the passenger side of my car and i have the earthquake facing away from the back seats n the port faces the same way should i turn them another way? its a really small trunk like i had to do stupid things to get that l5 in there
  3. yo if my amp is mono block 4ohm n i have 2 4 ohm 12s i have 2 positives n 2 negatives on my amp do i have to connect my speakers to the same positive n negative?
  4. wow u cleared up alot n i figured out the ohm thing yeah i have every thing connected was just wondering how i can make it better and with the wire n power u definintly make sense thanks alot i have the ground connected to the chasis in the trunk with a screw under the carpet it is sanded down and i have a question wud it sound like crap if i used two different brand subs? but same size?

Ok yeah im gunna buy another sub soon i have the sub hooked up on the outside neg n positive on the amp it has like a line on the terminal pointing to that positive n that negative so i hooked them up there. But what size wire should i be running my friend had told me 8gauge was fine but idk if he is right. and also which way should i face the sub up or into the wall of the trunk facing into the back seats or away from it? and should i definitly buy a new alternator? and thanks for the help

  7. im using 8 gauge wire i dont max my amp out cause i will prob fry my voice coil in my sub but i dont understand what ohms are and how they affect ur watts and how u know how many ohms ur system is doing if anyone can clearify this for me please do. and also how should the setup be for me? and im defintily gunna upgrade my wire n thanks i didnt think i wud need an alternator but on second thought its a old car so i probably do

Hello im new to car audio im 16 n got my first car. i have a old ass 89 plymouth reliant k car. dont laugh lol. but i have a premier pioneer head unit and sum ok interior speakers. i have a panasonic mono amp maxes at 1100 watts and i have a 12 inch earthquake sound tremor-x sub in a box with almost the dmiensions the owner manual recomends i have the sub woofer in the trunk. i dont want like competition sound but nice bang and also i dont want to kill my system and maybe add another sub or get two new ones. and also should i get anything else such as capacitators or any voltage stuff? or a new way to set it all up. please give me some suggestions. Thanks
