  1. Hi fellas, im lookin into powering 15 12' thump subs with a sony explod 100w peak/ 20,000w rms amplitude. I just need to know how i would go about wiring this setup. Jow many wires do i have to buy? Can i find some goid wires at walmart? Im putting my system in a 1963 buick. I know all of this will cost at least 10 grand... But im willing to spend the money to get the highest quality products money can buy. Im also looking to get some good 9' in speakers to put in my car dash of the car. I wanted the biggest speakers possible for that. I only measured 23 in along the car-dash with a measuring that i won at target the other day. I still want room for other stuff. So i could only surrender 18ins.

I just need advice on how to wire my thump subs to my batterys ima buy so they can "thump". Lol

  2. i have norton and would buy it again , works alright . if your computer slows down drastically from antivirus software i would think its time to upgrade your ram

    THIS

my pc has 8gb of ram 64 bit win7 ultimate .i think im ok on that ..havent used norton in years. maybe they have changed some things now .but i am always looking for a upgrade myself on antivirus tho

i use norton with these same specs. i experiance no loss of speed what so ever.

  3. Hello everybody! I've just decided to get a RF P1000X1D and a RF P3 Two 12" Loaded Enclosure at 1200rms. It seems like a REALLY nice combo. I want to ask everybody here, what do you think about this? And considering this is my first system, ever, where can I get information on how to install EVERYTHING? Also, which wires, etc, do I need to purchase? Thank you!

much better. start off with 4 gauge wire since thats what your amp can take. you can always get bigger wire and purchase a wire reducer or trim your wire to fit, but for now lets say 4 gauge. you can find decent wire "kits" to fit your needs that come with everything needed to install an amplifier, including RCA's, remote wire, power, ground. building your own box will be best if your inclined to do so. if not you could go to a local audio shop and they can build you one to specs of your woofers, but, thatll probably cost you a pretty penny. id build my own even if i wasnt so great. youll learn as you go. but now your gonna have to elaborate on what else you want info about when you say "EVERTHING".

  4. im assuming no lol. why wud he run it from the front instead of rear if he had a second one

edit: jeeez ninja'd like 3 damn times today wtf is up with these asians

well my vehicle is a little weird

battery is under the back seat

so i only need a total of 8ft for the 2nd runs lol

So then why do you need a 2nd run?

    What amp is it?

    well i dont NEED it

but it has dual inputs so i thought what the hell sure lets do it

    What amp is it?

well i dont really wanna get laughed at lol

but its a power acoustik 5500 bamf

    yes i know...

    "doesnt to rated"

    "those run hot"

hush. its temporary till i get money for a DC 3.5

Haha. You know those things don't do rated and run hot as shit right? If I was you I'd save up my money and get a dc 3.5

  6. or you could teach them the proper method of handling firearms and teach them to respect the firearm and that its not a toy. teaching them that guns are bad is not the answer.

Not that guns are bad, im very unfavoring to both sides, but as kids I mean, no guns, I brought an airsoft gun to school in 4th grade to show all my friends how cool it was, only a few years after columbine happened, shit got crazy, dumbest decision of my life. I would have saved myself alot of potential trouble if guns hadnt been so interesting to me as a young one TBH

lol when i was in 2nd or 3rd grade i brought empty shotgun shells to my class for show and tell. the teacher took them from me and didnt say why. later that day when we were loading up the bus to go home i was called to the principals office. she told me that i had 2 choices, 1 was she could throw them away or 2 she could call my parents to come pick them up. i asked why and said they were empty shells. she just said i couldnt take them on the bus. i said alright throw them away i got plenty more at home. btw this was before columbine

  7. In most cases I would say back presssure i.e. in my spl boxes at 2800 watts I fold cones like a champ hence the reason I glass the cones so I can take advantage of the 7k+ the box is capable of generating.

In this instance (I could be wrong) the box appears to be to big causing over excursion and stressing the cone until it gives out. The dustcap is a good indicator of this as well as the stress marks(creases) on the cone.

If your feeling adventerous you could glass matt the cone and glue surround back to it and of course gorilla tape the surround. My best advice would be to recone the sub then adjust the ssf up some to limit power to the sub as its fairly clear to me that its at its mechanical limits in that box.

He said 412 CVX designed the box. 412 CVX is pretty good about designing to specs of the woofer. Unless OP altered specs or asked for bigger box? I firmly believe it should be within range.

I would take your comment with a grain of salt. Wasn't he the same one that had the 4th order that did the EXACT same thing as this sub minus the crease in the cone? I'm pretty damn sure it was him. But we will go by your comment that hes pretty good about designing to specs.. I'll take that just as much as i would take a sealed box with 45's in the corner..

    :ninja:

I'm not just talking out my ass. I have experience with his designs and recheck just for the hell of it and its right on. I'm just stating he knows what he's doing from personal experience. Take my comment as you want but I know for sure he's reputable. As for a 4th order doing the same thing I have no idea. Never heard of it from him. Maybe maybe not.
