  1. thanks for the reply man, gonna try it. The more I play with the single sa8 I have now (firing up), the more im thinking it really doesnt matter in this tiny truck, cab is so small, and im so close to the subs and ports its already loud as shit. thanks for the info everybody, i will build it and make a vid.
  2. why would i have to reverse the polaritys ? both subs will be mounted in the box the same way. just pointigng different directions . as far as loading the bottom sub firing at the floor, I am going to split the difference, the sub firing up will be 5" from the roof, and the sub firing down will be 5" from the floor. litteraly guys, I have no room, my box is 9.5x9.5x27. It touches the inside of both of my seats and the back wall. I can either mount 1 on the bottom and 1 on top, or 1 on top and 1 forward, but like i said, if i put one forward, then my elbow will be touching it. If I put the port forward, and tryed to build a console, the counsole would either be too high, hit my shifter, or be too shallow, and i needs me a center counsole to hold shit.
  3. I dont have the space for any other configuration. it is a regular cab ranger, could do 1 up and 1 forward, but it is a stick shift, and i would be hitting the sub with my elbow. subs are SA-8's if it matters. and thanks for the input guys.
  4. Can I have a box mounted vertically with 1 sub facing up towards the roof, and 1 pointing down towards the floor, 2 ports out either side ? box is going between the seats of a regular cab ranger, 1 sub up, 1 sub down, and 2 ports going behind either seat. will this be ok, kind of a weird set-up, I dont think it should effect the sound much, as the cabin is so small, but who am I ? Some guy hoping the experts can help
  5. Just ordered 1 SA-8, Im going to do an aero port box, between the seats of my regular cab ranger. I am using the torres calculator, and am seeing that with how small the box will be, alot of my port is going to be externally. going to make my own 3" aero and have the portion outside of the box changeable for shits and giggles. will be played hard, alot, mix of rap, dubstep, and bass tracks. I like lows. how would you guys recommend facing the sub and port? I can go sub up or sub forward. I can go port forward, or behind either seat pointing towards the door. Im totally lost wich way to face the sub and port, ive only done slot port boxes in trunks and an suv. here is what i come up for for a box. gonna be 400 rms .71 cubes internal 3"x25" aero port area per foot 9.96 port volume .02 port area 7.07 5" internal, 20" external torres says 31.39 Hz If this sounds way off, can I get some suggestions on tweaking my box specs ? any help would be appreciated guys.
