Their amplifiers work just fine, like any other average amp, but they are much more known for their woofers (due to patents, assembly, materials, etc.). The gear is certainly more oriented toward the SPL seeking consumer.

Here are some sweet pictures of the install! (Plus some other installs we've been working on) Allyn building and cutting the subwoofer enclosure. Carpeted and Kicker 8's being installed. Putting the speakers in. We modified the existing speaker mount to adapt our new speakers. Over-head shot of some of our installation bay. Out with the old. Applying body filler to the dash. A good old fashion sanding. Perfect fit! Tripple 8's. Sounds sweeeet on the mid-bass. Side shot.

I like having matching amps, as it makes the install look that much cleaner. I've had mismatched amps in the past but it didn't bother me because they were both behind the seat of a truck I had at the time.

A matching set of speaker and subwoofer amplifiers always looks good, but is there any real benefit to purchasing amplifiers that are in the same brand and series? Or does it simply have to do with aesthetics? We all wanna know.
