so the box is built and im not quite sure what to think of it. I like the low sleek look inside of my old bulky looking box. its my second box built and i think it cam out well. but the sound is just kinda eh. It hit some lower notes but nothing seems to be as loud as before. and it doest play high notes as well(good and bad). i noticed that when my hand is at the port, there is only air coming from the left side of it....i mean from the whole thing yes but mainly the left side there is more air. . . . i did not put 45's in though. help??

Right now there isn't to much money into my build, enough for it to really suck if it got stolen but not thousands worth. I have a 99 Grand Cherokee, with locking doors and such, but no alarm. If i leave the window down you can unlock it and nothing, break a window, nothing. In a few months I'm planning on getting two Mayhem 18's. There a grand strait up, that i obviously want to protect. I live in Manch NH so its not to safe haha (Yes i know there's worse) Anyways, I'm looking at this Viper 2 way unit That is in good budget. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_16156_Viper-5901-p-n-5702V.html Should i even remotely attempt to install it on my own? I've never done one, or anything alike really. I have a DMM, and google. Do or don't? Also, If i can somewhat figure it out, What are some things to keep in mind. Do i need anything else? Where should the alarm go? Just anything to make it a good install. . . . Lastly, depending on where It's installed, if someone were to break in, how hard is it to stop the alarm? as in cut x wires and such if it can even be stopped IDK I AM A NOOB with alarms so please just fill me in on shit i dont know! Thanks

Dual XDMA5280 Head Unit Clipping Volume?
Mikey Bates replied to Raptorman's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
Hey man, i got the Dual XHDR6435 (older) and the specs are about the same. . .600peak, 18 rms, 2volt pre outs. My DD1 should be here by friday, ill let you know what that clips at and i bet thatll give you a pretty damn close idea on yours. not to mention they are both CEA-2006. . . if yours goes to 46 max like mine, we should technically have the same number for clippin volume -
why not just go new???

Where should i make the sub cutout for the top?? completely centered? somewhere off to the right, or does it not matter? Box is done except the top
-
for the port, and left and right plate, the cutout sheets say it tice, mistake of the program? or double it?????mpicking up the wood and titebond 2 today (: starting the box NVRMND i realized if you have an angled box it gives the top and bottom dimennsions for the sides, but if its square, its the same. got it haha

so just so everyone is one the same page i guess. picture a 4 door car. the 4 channel amp is in the trunk (just saying) RCAs run down the left side, and power on the right(doesnt matter which perspective) where to you run your speakers wires? down the left side, all the way friggen around to the right side, or the left two down the left, and the right two down the right?? -

So i know your supposed to run you RCAs and signal wire on one side and the power wire on the other. . . thats how i have my mono amp, now that im getting a 4 channel i obv do the same thing, but, when i run my speaker wires, do i run the ones that are on the side of the power wire all the way around? or just run them next to the power wire??? -
