  1. Go with W-40" H-12" D-20". Port H-10.5" L-32". This will give you JUST over 3 cubes after sub displacements, with a tuning of 32.12 before any bracing displacement. Threaded rod wouldn't take up that much space. This also gives you a port area per foot of 15.29 inches, which is pretty damn solid.

Can you maybe put up a pic?? Thanks Bro!
  2. get a good 4 channel. and theres no point in buying a low power 4 chan, if you're just gonna upgrade it later on. turn the gains down so you dont send too much power to your speakers. done deal

what do you mean by turn the gains down? i have my HU, stock speakers, mono amp and sub...sorry for dumb question lol
  3. by using my HU it sends all freq to my speakers which sound like shit, so i have to boost treble and decrease bass on the EQ but then its extremely trebly, and no mids or low mids if that makes sense. and obv the lowsss my sub has. but with a cheap 4 channel, though i only sending the same power, they wont be getting the lows which is whats makng them sound terrible.....its a temp thing

Sounds like you need some passive crossovers, though you say you're using stock speakers.

like i said, its temp untill i have more cash. . . new speakers and amp eventually but it just sound like shit now

lol what. just get a regular good 4 channel and use the HPF filter on it. most good headunits have a built in HPF filter for speakers wired to its internal amp, so you dont have to fuck with the eq.

power doesn't correlate to what notes the speaker will play. thats the filter's job

i know the power doesnt, im just saying i dont need more than what my HU has. and its a cheap dual audio HU, so it sends the lows still :/ unsing i fuck with EQ or get a 4 channel

  6. i need a cheap 4 channel amp anything really. biggest thing is need to get one with a HPF so i dont have to turn down my bass and boost treble to prevent cillping. budget is 100shipped. like i said its just gotta work and rms dont matter

  7. So i have a Skar Audio VVX 15" D4 sub and a Concept Audio HPN-1500. Right now my sub is D4 and all the gains are set by hear and i have it in a 3 cubes box at 35hz. Im going to recone to a D2 so i can get more and i should be getting a DD1 in a few weeks. acccording to ray the amp was clamped clean at 1100rms at 1ohm. the sub is 600rms but is known to be overdriven so the box has to be meant for the vvx to be driven to 1100rms.

    VVX 15" D2 wired to 1 ohm (600rms)

    Concept HPN-1500 - with DD1 would be 1100rms clean

Sub likes lows so make tuned to 32hz? ive been seeing people tune to that with these subs.

Will be used for daily but obv wanna try for good numbers on TL

Max dimensions are 40 wide 25 deep and 12 high. . . if thats not enough then i can go to 16 high ( just dont wanna pass window like my current box

    going in jeep grand cherokee
