  1. I have 2 sets of cadences on that amp right now. It works

i didnt say it wouldnt work with crossovers. i said it would work if you want to run active. ..

edit, but i also just saw you have a 600.4. thought you were working with only the 2 channel my bad. run active then, with crossovers. be soundin sweeet

  2. If your electrical is grade A, then why are you dropping 2V?

To fully answer your first question, is your amp's power supply regulated or unregulated?

ment not grade A, fixed. . . and how do i find out if it is or isnt. its an American Bass HD 3500 to my knowledge, its non regulated, again just some quick googling and nothing for sure but i think that was it is
  3. Why do you want to know that ? Do you compete at high levels? If not, spend your money on something more usefull. But it's YOUR money, do it if you want !

define compete at high levels. . . is it for competeing yes, my electrical is not grade A so id like to know what my sub is actually getting at full tilt. . . and any suggestiong for other things aroud that 100 price range, just outta curiousity
  4. can someone describe the simple process of what you do? and why spending more is better? i wouldnt mind reading alt and finding efficiency but not what im out for. so lets just say voltage drop is the only thing i wanna find. . .also can i clamp an amp at different ohm loads?

how about smething cheap like this? http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Clamp-AC-Volt-Meter/dp/B005DV8PV2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1343676232&sr=8-2&keywords=clamp+meter just to get an idea of the rms doesnt need to be friggen spot on

  5. Thank you for your suggestion, Joe X.

I have a couple of questions about your design.

    1. What is the advantage of the double front? Won't that cut internal volume?

    2. Does increasing port width and length make it sound better?

    3. Is it better to cut the top and bottom as you designed (28 x 19 1/4), or can the top/bottom be the base (28 x 21 1/2)?

Thanks for your all help. Looking forward to more advice!

the double baffle or "double front" is to prevent flex and basically be more solid (TMK) and thw port size change is to allow more air flow, and lower tuning, basically and again TMK
  6. I understand how to use it Fully the only question is if your using a bass knob you put it to half when your testing with the DD-1 and what about the deck gains and frequencies does that come into play ever when your testing? should you set them and then test or just turn them all the way down because you know that it will not clip when you turn them up again?

deck Freq flat. bass treble everything flat. and processors or anything flat/off. open filters on amp all the way. set bass boost where you want it on amp. and is it a gain knob or bass boost knob? if its gain then right in the middle. just know when you pass it, it is giving distortion to the sub. . . if you dont need the extra space for it then do it with it all the way up.
  7. is this possible? i think the guy i bought the subs off talked me into buying 2 ohm subs instead of the 4 ohm subs like i planned

i know you can wire a single 2 ohm sub to 1 ohm, but can you do it with two? please help, need to know so i can return if not

This is wrong. a single 2 ohm sub (SVC) can only ever be 2 ohms. if you have 2 on the other hand, you can do 1 or 4ohms and thats it.

2 DVC 2 ohms subs will be able to wire to .5ohm, 2ohm, and 8ohms. as said above.

i didnt put the .5 ohm cuz you prob wont do that lol. and i didnt put 8 ohms as why would you do that as well
