  1. Im working on a design for a blow through 4th order for my single cab s10. What do you guys think? Im completely open to criticism and advice. I wish there were a way to fit a box inside the cab but i really dont think its possible. I wont know for sure until I see it (currently overseas) but its unlikely.

The specs for the box are as follows:

    Sealed Volume: 2.55

    Ported Volume: 5.74

    Tuned to 55hz

    Ratio: 2.25:1

  2. Ok so i know this is going to be a bit of a broad or open ended question, and im not looking for a design so much as just some general guidance. I want to build a burp box for a lvl 4 15". What is a good volume to start with? I can figure the rest out from there im just curious what you all recommend for volume. Thanks

  3. John think about it like this..... the 1.2k put out 1492 watts on the amp dyno during a dynamic run.... the 2.0k put out 2624 watts. On a good electrical system you can pretty much duplicate these results. With that being said, the 1.2k is more than enough to power the lvl2's. You could run the 2k if you wanted to bump up to lvl 3 subs with no issue. I would personally run the lvl2's with the 1.2k. Plus that is saving you $231 that you could then put towards some Sky High Car Audio wire or an XS Power Battery.

  4. You are going to have to post a bit more information. What size lvl 4 for starters. If you want help of any quality you are going to need to provide the dimensions of your useable space, and what you are wanting to do with your system. ie... spl, daily listening etc...It would also be helpful to know what vehicle this is going into and what the rest of your system is comprised of.... amp batterys alts and such

  5. Ok so I have been messing around with Torres and the numbers just dont make sense to me. I am doing a box that is 17" tall x 40" wide x 12" deep. When using Torres if I make a port that is 15.5 tall x 2" wide x 20" long i get a tuning of around 35. To me it would be logical that if i take 2'' off the length and add it to the width, you still have the same volume so it would be the same tuning, however Torres tells me that the new tuning would be 52.33...... I dont understand this, is it just a flaw in the program or am I wrong in all of this. Also what is a good frequency to tune the box to for a daily ground pounder that may compete every once in a while. and if anyone wants to help me with some port dimensions for the box that would be awesome.

  6. Cody the reason I did it like that is, with a full side port to get around 33 hz it had to be like 2" wide or super long I need to find a happy medium. I like the look of a big 4-6" port but with this box it has to be almost to long. How much space do I need for the inner opening? I was trying to keep the port wall from going all the way behind the sub.
