  1. ahhh i see, Im driving a 99 Ford Ranger XLT though, so my amp is sitting like directly in the middle of both suspensions.
  2. noob question, what is my strut tower?
  3. will do, whats the maximum length of wire that my ground wire can be? and only two amps, and the rca's are wired correctly.
  4. ground is connected between the chassis and the seat bolt mount.
  5. no on the protect, and I have a power acoustic BAMF 2000 (1200rms at 1 ohm) going to my DD 1508's. its probably not rated, but this post also gets me into some interesting topics. I have a clarion EQ and if i hook all 3 amps, the EQ wont tune the 4 chan. and so since I have my 4 chan hooked to my deck, and my sub amp hooked to my EQ, if i change settings on the 4 chan amp, it will mess with the sound of the subs.
  6. all channels work except the (+) on channel 4
  7. don't have access to vehicle atm D=, what # voltage is bad at terminals? and on my rear channels I had to bridge the two speakers because channel 4's + terminal stopped working but the ground still let me bridge 3/4. but with both wiring configs, it would still get super hot.
  8. Have this 4 chan amp with all channels being used with everything at half gain and its getting extremely got, has very good ventilation and only 8 gauge wire to it, am I doing something wrong?
  9. American Bass and Obsidian have some good subs for around that price range.
  10. post says it all. my main features i am looking for however, is 6 RCA outs, with usb/aux connectiviety, and a sexy look with lots of colors. thanks
  11. is that a ford ranger xcab? what year if so? Im looking to do a build with it and was thinking either 2 15's or 2 18's but wasn't sure if I could do 2 18s? some box dimensions and specs and what not would be awesome! thanks
  12. thank you sir, where might i acquire this product?
  13. Struggling with my equalizer so im just going to use it to control sub and hook up my 4 channel amp to the head unit. so I need 6-8 RCA outs. If its 6 RCA outs, it needs to have a USB front and or 3.5 MM front input. if its 8 RCA outs, it needs to be able to have the aux option to play an ipod or phone. Head unit MUST look sexy and not boring. thanks.
  14. interested in trading these for two Digital Designs 1508's? edit: sending you a pm
  15. need 4 6 1/2's. midbasses or full ranges, post em all or message me them all. zip code is 96130, thanks
  16. these are all good tips guys thanks, ill give it another attempt. thinking i could tune the system's speakers off the head unit with the EQ was probably the problem.
  17. The equalizer lights up, but does not control the volume of anything, even when i had the RCA's from sub out to my sub amp and the head unit's rca's to the main aux in.
  18. yes, I had it hooked up to a sub amp but still wouldn't work. And shouldn't the equalizer be able to tune the speakers running off the head unit or no?
  19. So I just tried to install my new clarion equalizer and it turns on and everything, but fails to control the volume control and equalizer setting. I will explain my wiring, and hopefully someone may have a solution? Right now my deck is a sony cdx-gt56ui with only one pair of RCA outs on the back. I hooked the equalizers main auxiliary in from the head unit's one pair, and that didn't work, so i eventually just tried every single input on the back of the equalizer (sub, main, aux, front, rear) and none of them worked still. For my power, ground, and remote wiring: I have a solid no spliced wire coming straight from the battery for the 12v connection. my ground is spliced with my head units ground. and my remote is spliced with my sub amplifier remote. The only conclusion I could come up with is that my deck's RCA's are just refusing to work with the EQ because its not a high quality deck, but thats all I could come up with. Your help is appreciated, thanks.
  20. really wanting this amp for my two DD 1508's, or anything with good clean power of 1800-2500 RMS at 1 ohm, thanks.
  21. in the DEP for Sere instructor myself nice to see that other people are on here still enjoying audio while serving there country so you can make this all happen for us!
  22. I really had no idea what DB I was being introduced to, but to begin with, I had never heard a system passed two 12's that was a mainstream brand or the one Fi q 12 I installed in my friends truck. But I recently discovered that Jon Rabe was a DC audio dealer who lives about an hour and a half away from me and was about to move into his new shop. I offered to help him out since I was making a trip to Reno, NV to begin with and was looking into the DC audio line of subs for my friend. To cut the story short, I got my first demo of a system that I could only of dreamed of having. Ive been a part of this forum a few months now and see so many videos of people's vehicles flexing, hair tricks, and high decibel's on the meters...but I never knew what it was like in person. My life was changed as soon as the bass dropped. I couldn't breathe, could barely see...much less understand how he could still drive and listen to it at the same time. It truly amazes me how our technology can bring music to this level. I just thought i would take the time to share my first real experience with a real system...in 4 a door truck. Please help support Jon Rabe and his moving into his new shop by dropping in there and buyin some products...or ordering it, because he's got more audio stuff than I could ever have believed to see in a life time.
