  1. I have a Power Acoustik MOFO 152X sub. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17677_Power-Acoustik-MOFO-152X.html

Currently it's being powered by a crappy Soundstorm SSL Evolution 4000D wired at 4 ohm. I would like to have a good amp that puts out 1500-1700 rms while wired to 1 ohm. Electrical currently will only drop to 13.8 at the most from a 14.4 idle.

My budget is anywhere under 300. Lower the better, obviously. My income is next to nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  2. OK so got my DD1 hers what i did. For every EQ setting, changing the treble all the way from -6 to +6. The deck always clips at 44 meaning 43 is safe.

For Bass, heres the safe numbers.

Bass Volume is always at 6/12

By turning the sub volume down (anything under 6) you don't gain any deck volume. By turning it up (past 6) you lose 1 volume unit every sub volume unit meaning. deck clips at 44 and sub at 6, deck clips at 43 and sub at 7 deck clips at 42 and sub at 8 and so on.

Bass EQ and safe volumes with sublevel at 6/12

    -1 through -6 safe is 44

    +1 safe is 42

    +2 safe is 41

    +3 safe is 39

    +4 safe is 38

    +5 safe is 36

    +6 safe is 35

So as an end result. 1k safe at 43 and 40hz safe at 44 with sub volume at 6. I turned my sub volume to 7 that way my highs and lows get the most clean volume, at 43/46 Any questions let me know (: hope this helps

Okay good stuff, what do you mean by the Sublevel? I haven't seen that on my head unit, do you just mean the bass level? I have that set currently at -6, and my treble at +4. So my max safe is 43?

  3. Hey man, i got the Dual XHDR6435 (older) and the specs are about the same. . .600peak, 18 rms, 2volt pre outs. My DD1 should be here by friday, ill let you know what that clips at and i bet thatll give you a pretty damn close idea on yours.

not to mention they are both CEA-2006. . . if yours goes to 46 max like mine, we should technically have the same number for clippin volume

Yup, mine has a max of 46 as well. Well good stuff! Thanks man, I look forward to finally figuring this out. Haha.

  4. Sorry for the quality of these pictures, I don't have a good camera. But these will suffice.

Trunk entrance height. Can't see the tape measure well but it's 17"

    Trunk height - 17"

    http://s1055.photobu...4-16_152941.jpg

Trunk width - 38" but the trunk entrance will only let me put in 32"

    Entire Trunk

    http://s1055.photobu...4-16_152803.jpg

So it can't be 38" wide unless I can like build a box in halves and slide each half in and then glue it together and whatnot once it's in and let it sit. If there's even a good way to do that, hahah!

  5. Just recently got my first car and have installed my old set of 15's in it, but I sold that and am ordering new stuff. I have two Power Acoustik 15" MOFO 152x's on the way along with a SoundStorm SSL 4000 watt monoblock amp. Using a 0 guage wiring kit. This is going in the trunk of a 2000 Nissan Altima SE, and my trunk dimensions are 32" wide, 17" high, and 25"(Give or take) deep . And I want to go ported and have a tuning of around 33hz. The subs would be firing towards the license plate and the port I'm thinking should be at the top back.

But what I need to figure out is the port dimensions and whatnot needed to get 33hz. Sorry I'm a little noobish with this, the help is appreciated.
