  1. I am not new to the audio scene but have not been in it in quite some time. I know technology has changed quite a bit since I was last in it. That being said in doing some research on a vehicle I am putting together I ran across Sundown. I found a semi local dealer and went to hear a demo. So the guy had a pair of X15s in a ported in closure. He was running about 3k watts. Sounded really good, and was hitting quite low. I was impressed.

That being said I think I am going to use Sundown as my subs and probably amps too as I like to coordinate. The problem is this is going into a Bagged 65 Suburban. Being that it is a classic I am wanting to be as stealthy as possible as I go to a lot of shows. I do not want to have the woofers exposed so I am looking for ideas. I am trying to avoid the subs facing the rear due to the fact that I am going to have enough of a hard time keeping the doors from rattling as it is so I am looking for ideas. I was thinking maybe a bandpass box.

This is not an SPL vehicle, I like a variety of genres of music, but when I want it to get down.... I want it to get down if you know what I mean.

Anyone have any experience with the X-15s in a bandpass enclosure? If I don't have enough room I could potentially drop down to 12's, just trying to get as much bang as I can while maintaining a clean look. I don't have dimensions of my workable area at the moment but I can get some measurements this weekend.

    Any help appreciated.

  2. One more question.. I just got my combo pack today and reading through the instructions and the brochure included leads me to the following:

In the brochure for the VU-DIN it states that the operating range is 9v-24v. Is that power input voltage or amp speaker lead input voltage?

Per the instruction manual for the DD-1 the DD-1 has an operating voltage of 1.2vrms - 125vrms (15,000 watts @ 1 ohm)

Just making sure the guage will handle the same power as the DD-1 for subwoofer power.

  3. So you guys are comparing everything to rap music. That brings me to a question. If a user listens to different styles of music, how do you tell the typical db tones used by that style of music. IE I have a friend who listens to hardcore rock and another that typically listens to country. Would i set both at -10db and then just tell them to be careful if they were playing a rap song?

  4. When i originally ordered everything There was a small issue with the website and it didnt accept the data. so I redid my order and got the confirmation email. When that happened I called the number on the website for them and left a message to what happened to make sure they knew I didnt want 2 combos and to make sure I wasnt double billed. Requested a callback to confirm, never got one. I left a message again today.

Posted here as I am sure it will get seen.

Not trying to scam, just want what I paid for.

  5. I ordered and paid for both the DD-1 and CC-1 on May 1st, before making this post I did do a little digging and found this:

sorry i missed this...i am stocked up and i ship daily @ 3-4pm pacific time :) thanks for the order!!

I have yet to receive the product nor any email communucation whatsoever after the initial order thanking me for ordering the stuff. This was ordered off http://www.wccaraudio.com/ .

I verified funds were pulled from my CC on the 3rd.

    Any Ideas?
