  1. also was wondering when setting gains with dd-1, do you set all your eqs and everything on the amp before....or leave everything all the way down or what? i.e. ....like the bass boost on the amp and the xover on the amp and the subsonic on the amp .....and the bass setting on the HU....and the subwoofer lvl on the HU....
  2. i have never run a ported box....always sealed so i really dont know about tuning them and all that
  3. anyone else agree with the remove the rear speakers statement....if i do that should i run the tweeters off the front chanells and the mids off rear?
  4. Anyone else have any thoughts on that problem with the speakers distorting after some time of listening.....taking the cap out tomorrow...haven't been driving the car.... Also...thinking about getting 2 RE SSX's 12's....and a new box....sealed or ported?
  5. i was more interested in the other speakers cutting out....put yes my HU and amp have been gain matched....but if the word is that the cap isnt doing me any good then i guess i should get rid of it....
  6. it is def. not clipping and like i said it doesnt do it until after some time of listening.
  7. i have a 2003 Civic Si with a Kenwood KDC-148 head unit - http://www.audiovide...148-p-6124.html. Polk Audio DXi 6 1/2 Components and matching tweeters in the front - http://www.crutchfie...00.html?tp=106. and Polk Audio 6 1/2 2-ways in the rear - http://www.crutchfie...50.html?tp=105. i have a Kenwood KAC-9105D 1800 watt mono block amp - http://www.crutchfie...D.html?tp=35834 running 2 Polk DXi 124 SVC 4-Ohm paralleled running 2-Ohm. and a AudioPipe 2 Farad Cap - http://www.audiopipe...rs/cap-200.html. The system sounds pretty great to me really...i only really have 2 issues, well one issue the other i could be imagining....lol.....the first is that i normally listen at about 24-26 volume on the deck...if you go on a 45ish minute drive then all the speakers start getting distorted till you turn in down for a bit....max volume is 35 fyi....checked all connections and everything....what i was think that maybe the amp in the head unit just cant run them very long....but wanted to see what everyone thought....the other on is that every once in a while it seems like the same note wont hit as hard as one previously in the sound....thought it maybe the cap struggling but it really shouldn't be...thanks in advance p.s. i do not think the subs distort when the other speakers do...but kinda hard to to...only sounds like full range...
