From experience I like Hifonics better than audio. But if you are getting a brutus I would throw in a couple extra bucks and get a brutus elite

I have the chassis groud and the engine ground on the transmisson ( stock location). The amp is grounded directly to the rear battery, and the rear battery is grounded to the back left strut tower bolt. All grounds are solid...

I have 1 yellow top in the front and one yellow top in the back.... And my dash lights aren't dimming

I'll check my voltage tonight. And I'm going to be upgrading to a power bastards alt. In the near future

I recently installed audio system in my 02 Taurus. I have 2 12" American bass xfl's , Hifonics brutus elite 2000.1d, 2 optima yellow tops, with the big 3 upgrade. Worked fine for a couple weeks. Now when ever I have my system turned up the car seems to start chugging and it only stays around 2000 rpm... When its turned down its seems fine. I have a stock alt. But my lights barley din on full volume. Any ideas anyone?
