  1. i mean ill be completely honest, i still have about 3feet of 0awg left that i could just use for the bc2k, fuse it and be done.

but i wanted to salvage that last piece so i could just replaced my distribution block with a fuse holder and than use that extra 0awg to connect to the back battery.

but than i would have to buy more 0awg from the battery to the amp anyways... so i think it was just me trying to be a cheap ass with this and just find a way to save wire.

but it'll have a chance of biting me in the ass anyways so i think ill just use my current 0awg and save up for some more later. as the upgrade continues on.

  2. 4awg will be fine. But why spend $5 on a fuse when you can buy a foot 0f 0awg for maybe $6 at an audio shop and issue fixed.

well im not going to be buying extra fuses since i already have it laying around.

but in the future, im going to run 2 0awg from the front battery to a back battery and just have all the amps hooked to the rear battery.

and thats when i would be having to buy more fuses and holders.

thus me saying ill add them to the check list when i finish my upgrade

  3. uhh i lemme say this. i have 0awg run from the front to back, and a distribution block for my mono and 2 channel, the 8awg is about 1.5feet and the 4awg wire for the mono is like 10 inches.

That's not too good. I'd invest in some wire and fuses if I where you man.

    And another battery.

please explain why you think this is no good?

Because you're running two amplifiers off of one run of 0ga. The Crescendo is going to pull serious amperage alone and you have another amplifier pulling some power at the same time. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but I'd rather be motherfucking safe than motherfucking sorry, especially when dealing with a nice amplifier like the 2K.

Riddle me this; Is your distribution block fused?

i'ev actually read numerous people who have owned the bc2k say it is extremely efficient on power, but neverless it is a 2k amp.

and the distribution block itself isnt fused, just the 200amp fuse by the battery in the front.

  4. you could do it with a really short run of 4 gauge. like less than 2 feet long. but if you can spend the money on a bc2k you should be able to afford a good 0 gauge kit

true, but i am a bit broke atm. with a $1000 marching band fee im struggling to buy ANYTHING right now.

but i will buy more 0awg after i buy a battery, subs and wood for an enclosure.

  5. You should be good for the most part. Big 3 done already?

yup all in 0awg. sounds good, and what a steal from that FB post! imma sell my amp to my buddy and snatch that thing up pronto;). messaged him already

  6. thanks for the feedback guys. big thing that impresses me is how little voltage drop everyone claims they receive with this amp.

the price is great compared to hundreds of other 2k amps, even brand new.

(unless some1 has any other suggestions for a great 2k amp)

  7. Get it. You won't be disappointed. Got mine today, and just swapped it out with my Hifonics, straight swap, took wires out, removed Hifonics, plugged in the Crescendo, and started playing away. I'm waiting on my new 1/0 to come in the mail tomorrow, so the BC2K is being powered by some 4ga.... My voltage used to drop into the mid to low 13 volt area. The BC2K only drops from 14.4 down to 14 volts. So no, it's not power hungry, and it's being underfed through the 4ga wire. It made a quick and awesome first impression with me! My electrical is a stock battery up front, 1/0 from front to rear battery, big 3, stock 70amp Honda alt.

helpful. thanks, and after i sell my stuff i'll be saving up for some batteries aha

  8. Crescendo is a good brand. It does more than rated and doesn't blow easy. For electrical run zero gauge to the rear batt. Big 3 also. What size is ur alt.

it is an 80amp. :[ small Toyota electrical system

yeah i have the big three done in 0awg and a run of 0awg to the back(distributed into 4awg and 8awg for my mono+2chann)

i could just replaced the distro block with a fuse holder to put the battery back in the trunk.

  9. hey so im thinking of upgrading to a Crescendo 2000d amp

not entirely sure which subs i want to be running with it yet though.

so what do you guys think about this amp?

does it do rated? does it blow easily? is it a power hog?

also do you think i could get away with a stock alternator with a Kinetik 1800 under the hood and a Kinetik HC2400 in the trunk?
