  1. Let's just say that you had access to two engines. One engine made 400hp and one made 500hp. The 500hp engine costs more money.

There would be no point at which one could say that the 400hp engine was superior to the 500hp engine, assuming horsepower was the only metric. However, one can rationalize why the 400hp engine is a better value but that still won't make it a 500hp engine.

How does that apply to this argument?

Completely off Topic for the wire, but for engine.. say it made 400 and 500 hp bone stock. The 400 hp motor, dyno tune, headers, cam, exhaust, cold air intake, gears, certain fluids.. could make the 400 hp motor more powerful for less or same price then the 500 hp motor

  2. i hate how y'all cant release the name of the competitors name :(

but it's awesome y'all are doing this to show us just how great yalls stuff really is

Yeah, we don't want to make it seem like we're slamming another company, we just want to demonstrate how two products can look the same but perform differently. This is why there are products that seem like they're less expensive versions of second skin, but they're completely different on a chemical and performance level.

    i gotcha, i completely understand :)

  3. I love the DD1 but its not practical for the one-time DIYer.

Setting gains is a 10 min job tops, after that, what am i supposed to do with the DD1? You know?

Its a great product, so is the CC1 and the VM1 and the AD1 and the whole lineup of SMDamore products, but its just not practical for that one-time user.

Great video comparison man, thanks! :)

What you can do is register yourself in the tools map to try to help others and maybe charge some type of payment..

You can help your friends set their gains correctly, and I'm almost 100% your not going to have one amp in your life time..

  4. why wont it? :unknw:

Spectrum can be applied as an interior coating on the sheet metal behind the upholstery, or as an acoustical undercoating on the outside of the floor pan to create tomb like silence and provide mechanical protection from rust.

if it's anything like bed liner that stuff will stick to anything.. got bed liner on my hands and stuff one time.. i couldent get it off for about a week or two and i tried everything to get it off..

EDIT: Spectrum is water based and will not adhere permanently to plastic or fiberglass without first using a self etching primer.

thats why i ask , NVX has aluminum back and Damp. pro is like .....soft plastic or rubber .

(dont want to pull it up to add spectrum.) i want to spry it over what i have down now .

hmm.. hopefully the admin of second skin will come in here, if not just send him a message. he normally replys really fast
