  2. you tell him dual 2's so he can either run .5 ohms on that amp... or wire in series and go higher.... is that amp 1 ohm stable then?

No all kicker amps are 2 ohm stable.

    Option 2 (series/parallel) = 2 ohm load

Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel

  3. can download and use ubuntu

    Ubuntu FTMFW

if you want it, its free, but you have to have software to bur the .iso image to a cd at the slowest speed your cd drive will let you.

and to copy windows on a cd, NO. you can copy some of your programs, some of the programs you use are in the computers registry, (Do not mess with that) , but i would go with Ubuntu super stable Operating System. and its free.

  4. Big 3 done while back. I guess I need a box design that fits within the 36x36x15 area that I have. But going that big will require that it be built in the car. I really want both worlds a daily and a fart box for comps. I know that the last comp I went to they said I was optimal at 51 htz is that the tuning frequency of the car and will that help build an spl setup. And I would also like it to be able to be tuned for daily/ music as well. I have to get this done by the end of October. And does a carpeted box take away from spl.

most cars resonate frequency is around 45-55hz from what i know. now if you make a box with your tuning frequency, around 51hz which is tuned very high, you can only listen to a few songs, i would re-tune your box to 44 hz, or make a spl box that will be tuned to 49 hz. Because im sure right now the box you have plays music very well.

  5. I left a comment on your youtube video.

But I just wanted to make sure you see it, your amp is hooked up wrong!

Stetsoms do not have 2 rca inputs. They have a input and a output which are both right next to eachother.

You seem to have your RCA's from your headunit plugged into the amp in the red (which is output for strapping amps) and the white (which is the input).

Thats what i had before only 1 in on the input. but dTbrown was telling me to use both. here is the message he sent me.

Even with the battery you have it'll do burps at .5ohms with volume rolled. If it hard protects then that just means it's to low with your impedance rise. I tested mine at a volume roll with a rise to 1.8ohms and 4500w with less battery then you with voltage 11.3v. :) Looking forward to your results.

I'm going to go and make a video right now. with the gain turned up. im going to have the camera focused on the clamp and meter. BRB I'll post the result with the video.

Sweet, also I see you are running a single rca into the amp. You could use both left and right since the rca input is just internally "Y'd" so the output is just a pass through not amplified. I don't know if it'll make much difference on power but amp will see more input voltage. Either it'll make a difference or nothing.
