I am considering buying the DD-1 to set the gains on my boat stereo, but I have a few questions. The head unit is a Clarion M309. The HU runs to a line driver and then to my amp. Both have a clipping indicator. 1.) Will the DD-1 do a better job of helping me set the gains than the clip indicator on each device. 2.) When I try to play a CD with test tones the HU shuts off and give me an "AMP GUARD" error. Is there a way around this? Thanks
