  1. I just want to keep as much bass and sound inside the car as I can. Also stop as much outside noise from coming inside the car as I can
  2. Should I seal the hell out of the 2 front doors and use the remaining on the trunk floor? Im removing my rear speakers when I put the sub in
  3. Im thinking of getting the box built so the sub is facing forward and have the remaining area sealed off. What would a 1' mdf box be? Im a little confused. @Toofast - do u know if they tune amps by ear or use something?
  4. Yes I only have stock front speakers and will remove my rear speakers when I put in my 12. I dont know if Ill put a component system up front. Maybe later down the road but probab;ly not anytime soon
  5. I only have 20 sq feet of Damplifier Pro to put in a 01 Civic sedan. WIll this only be enough for the trunk? Should I try to do the 2 front doors in a single layer and use the rest on the trunk? What is the best way to use it in that car? Thanks
  6. Wobbly wants 350 to build a box for one 12. Are there any good shops that can do it for cheaper?
  7. Everyone is saying diff things. I tried emailing someone from Obsidian but never got a reply. Maybe I should just be safe and keep it at 600.....
  8. Strong words......any reason you put them ahead of every other shop?? I've been almost everywhere in Houston, Cypress, basically almost every shop that was in a 30 mile radius of me. As far as price to quality of work they're the best in my experience. Derrick and Allen have been around forever and both know what they're talking about bar none. They have several state records and I believe 1 world record as well. I haven't been able to take any pics of their work because my car isn't finished yet, but when it is they will be plenty. They also have insanely good customer service. Brand wise they carry basic stuff such as Kicker and Planet Audio, but they're the only DC Audio dealers in Texas. They also have Atomic and several other badass brands as well. Now if you wanted some serious custom work done where price wasn't an option then I'd recommend Innovative Rides. Aaron Davis owns them, and his work is phenomenal. Only downfall is his price which is quite steep. The majority of his work is SQ stuff, nothing very big over 1-2k watts. Where as Wobbly Woofers is used to doing builds that are well into the 5-8K range. So yeah if you want sexy, loud and a great price go to Wobbly. If you want insane custom work that's geared more towards the SQ area but is still loud without a budget then Innovative Rides. FYI both these places have tons of experience and know what they're talking about. They won't say anything that'll make you second guess their work. Appreciate the break d own. This is where I got some work done on an old car. Decent work but the prices were crazy though!! http://www.americanaudioconcepts.com/
  9. Strong words......any reason you put them ahead of every other shop??
  10. Obsidian Audio 12's have a 600 rms power handling. What is the most power you can actually feed one without damaging it though? Thanks http://obsidiancarau.../index.php?id=6
  11. Is there a list of good shops around the country on here? Im trying to find a good shop in the Houston area. Thanks
  12. Im trying to figure out about how much power I can run in my car before I have to make any electrical upgrades. I dont want to do anything besides The Big 3
  13. I'm going with the Obsidian 12. Does anyone know how much power they can actually handle? I might have to make a seperate sub thread
  14. I cant make a Sundown vs Obsidian thread can I? I want to pick which sub Im going with before anything else
