  1. Hey has anyone ever build a box for an 18 or 15 inch sub for really good SQ that still can pound the lows? I have heard about people building SQ subs with 8s and 10s but not too much with 15 to 18 inch subs.
  2. This is the box I have now but it's made for two tens sealed.
  3. Do you use the 15 ported for a groundshaker or a sq?
  4. Thanks for the input. I am thinking about mb quart over older pyle amp. I already have the wiring for the battery so I save some money there. How do you think the e-12s stack up to two scar vvx 12's?
  5. Ya my math was slightly of box my box but here are the stats. the wood is 3/4 inch Sorry about the bad pic. Still trying to figure out this forum
  6. Hey do you guys ever run subs in boxed that have too much cubic feet then what is rated for the subwoofers by the manufacture? I was looking at two tens that are rated for 0.65 ft^3 sealed or 1.0-1.4 ft^3 ported at 32 hz. My box holds two tens and is sealed. The box has 4.16 cubic feet if my math is correct. Will this difference hurt the sound quality?
  7. My budget is around 400$. Does the amp really make a big difference? It probably a stupid question but I have not really looked into amp reviews and such.
  8. Haha toyota camry I mean Did anyone else catch this??? ^^^ its one of the first ever hybrids!!!!
  9. When I bought my subs, someone told me the sealed boxes will hit tighter than ported.... Not sure if it is true
  10. Thanks for the advice and I blew them 4 months ago and I think it was a bad ground on the amp.
  11. Also I was thinking of maybe a ported box? But still researching the tunning and space needed for the subs.
  12. I listen to just about everything from rap to classic rock to regagae. I have a 1993 toyota Acura with Sony xploids(Walmart) and stock tweeters. The radio is new. I had two ten inch bazooka subs with a 250 watt amp bridged and what I was told about bridging an amp is that it puts the max rms through a sub which the bazookas happened to be 250 rms. Long story short the system blew up and I ended up getting a Pyle (older) 800 watt two channel amp. I read alot of good things about Skar subs and I am a short drive away from there headquarters so I thought I would pick two vvx 10s and put them in my sealed box. But now I am rethinking the tens and might put in at bigger or smaller subs depending on the sound quaility. Also thought of putting in a bass processor but I have never had one nor have a seen them
  13. Thanks for the advice! I was thinking two Skar 10's in a sealed box with a 800watt amp bridged
  14. Hey what do you guys think is the best size sub to buy for great sounding bass. 8, 10, 12, 15, 18? I have heard 10s hit the best and still have a lot of bass but the 18s will hit louder and deeper. I am looking into a new set up and want the best sounding car audio.
