About Me

I live on the South Shore of Massachusetts.. Between Boston, and Cape Cod. I make epoxy based linings for conventional, and nuclear power plants for work. I spend half my time working at my job, and the other half working on my Jeep and my system.

I worked in the Boston local 103 IBEW (electrical union)for most of the 1990's in the telecommunications division. Prior to that I had absolutely zero knowledge on electrical theory, and appliucation. I learned the basics in the union, and because I've always loved loud and clear car audio systems I decided to stop paying people to install my wiring, and equipment and start doing it myself. It quickly became an addiction, and I spend all my, very limited, free time researching, purchasing, and building better systems in my Jeep.

I'm a member of caraudio.com, and have been for about 4 years. I don't post to often. I prefer to use it as a library and a learning tool. I just joined this site a few days ago and I'm having a tough time getting used to the format, but I'm sure that I'll figure it out soon enough.

One of the main reasons I joined this forum is because I just ordered a DD-1, and I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I also joined out of frustration with all the Steve Meade bashing that I hear on caraudio.com.. I'm sure that when my new DD-1 arrives I'll have some questions, and if I post them on C.A.com, the haters will inevitably come out of the woodwork. What's up with that anyway? Don't get me wrong. I've learned a ton in that forum, and there are some brilliant guys in there that have been super helpful. There's just a whole bunch of them that bash the hell outta everything related to Steve Meade. I don't get it.

Once I learn to navigate this forum, and post and respond to threads etc., I'll definately have some questions for you guys. I'm no newby, but I'm no veteran either. I try to learn something new whenever I can related to car audio.... I'm tired of typing, and I don't know if anyone will ever read this anyway. lol
