  1. I had a similar problem with the Powermaster alt i got from him then it just gave up charging completely (my daily driver, not my truck). I called and Matt said to ship it back but I haven't had a chance to do it yet. It would give a whine when i started the car after it sat overnight and it would kick on and off causing the belt to make a ticking sound. Don't know if it is the same for you but I ended up having to buy a new stock alt to get around on till i can get my HO in for service.

Sometimes even dealing with a good company you can get a bad part, I'm sure he will do everything possible to get you up and running fast.

no foul intended, really, just thought was kinda funny.. looong time ago anyways :P

everyone makes mistakes at some point in time :)

you are an idiot if you think Meade got owned in that thread, he was right. Look at what they guy asked for, I would have tuned it to 42-44 hz so it is not a stretch to go to 45 that Meade recommended.

  3. My 97 Celica did the same thing with strut bags all the way around. Turned out that they built the front struts with the lower bag mount too high so when it was layed out the front was barelly tucking. I sent them back and they lowered the bottom bag mount a little but it still wasn't enough for me so I took it out and had a buddy of mine lower it even more. It did eventually sit the way I wanted it to.

Check out how the lower bag mount is attatched to the strut, you should be able to move it down some to lay out in the front. If you have mcpherson struts in the front of that thing DO NOT DO cylenders I had them for 2 days before one of the shafts broke while I was pulling out of a parking space and the wheel crushed one of my fenders. They are known to fail under the stress in this application.

  4. those two shouldn't pull near enough current to do that. I've got 4 480C's and before I added extra batteries and bigger alternators the lights dimmed a little but that was it.

I would venture to say it is not the compressors causing the problem but they are showing you the problem. I would check the alternator, upgrade to the big 3 and have your battery load tested cause it might be going bad.

Are those comps rated at 200psi, I know that mine draw more amps the closer to 200psi they get cause they work harder.

  5. all it is going to do is increase the velocity of the air going into the engine which helps to atomize the fuel for a more complete burn.

does it work??? who knows but i can tell you that if you have a clutch fan and switch out to electric fans you will see a big difference in how fast you engine rpm rises and you will see a gain in useable HP.

the TBI spacers are not worth the money or effort to install them in my opinion.

  6. I had to do a hydroboost on my F150 when i bagged it on 22's it wasn't necessary but recommended, you can do a Camaro booster out of a junk yard in the S10's it is small enough to clear under the hood and much cheaper than the hydroboost and less strain on your power steering pump.

My truck is getting body dropped on 6's now so i'm glad i have the hydroboost so if you are ever going to go bigger wheels you should invest now, otherwise relocate the booster to behind the dash and smooth the firewall.
