  1. Amazing kerf job!!!

What numbers are you doing now?

I once had 2 XL 15s in a CLK...subs up, port to the driver side at the rear of the trunk and did 51s from 30-55hz...outlaw style with the driver door open. I ran a Stetsom 4k2d at the time.

Thanks! Now i have 146-148 at 35 -45hz and 144 at 30! I know this sub's can more!)) But i don't know how in my car.... whar box and port spec do you have?

That's still really good on your numbers. Are those numbers sealed or outlaw? My car would only do a 46.6 sealed up, but outlaw it really gained.p

My box was 6.2 cu. ft NET, and I used one 8" aero port tuned to 33.5 hz. Sounded really great.

As Stealth mentioned, doubling your front baffle could help brace it as well. Birch ply definitely needs to be braced. You could also add 4 more dowels to each corner of your box; around the sub cutouts facing forward to brace the front and rear pieces.

If you really want to increase dramatically, you may have to add another amp. Trunk cars are somewhat power hungry if you really want to see 50s...especially luxury cars.

Thanks! Numbers are sealed at 35+ hz. Outlaw gained at low hz below 30 hz.

  3. If that is net airspace, it is a bit much. For Level 4 12s, 1.5-1.75net per sub. 4.5- 5.25. 5.25 would be the max I would use unless you are really underpowering them. I would lean more towards the 4.5net total for all 3.

    Thank you!

I have one aq3500 on them (0.667 ohm load), will be enough power ? and which port for 4.5net? 80sq or 65sq will be better?

And how about two 15" xl's (0.5 ohm load)? or three 12" will be better and louder in my car and this box spec?

  4. HI all!

    Sorry for bad English :)

I want to buy two DC 15XL m2. But only if the box spec are OK. Car - sedan audi a6 c5 (1998).

Amp AQ 3500d.1 at 0.5 ohm daily. (or 0.7?)))

Box like this fit to my car. Box spec are 3"~ to the each sub. Port = 80sq.in tuning about 36 hz. And when i fold the seat I want to make an additional port, which will add another 20 centimeters? and tuning will be 31-32hz

What do you think about it?
