  1. Sent amp to Kevin mansky says amp is 100% OK no issues can't get amp to protect and playing fine. Now I am completely lost to what is causing this amp to go into protect.

This is what I have tested and tried so far.

    Tested power in reads fine.

    Tested remote in reads fine.

Thought it was cause bad pioneer 80prs so changed to kenwood kvt-516. Same issue.

Thought it might be bad lc1, took it out of line still protect.

    Ran different rcas still protect.

Tried one rca imput at a time still protect.

Amp is fine with no rcas in no protect as soon as sub rcas connected protect.

Only thing I can can guess is because amp tested good is blew a sub.

Rca input voltage to high causing clipping. But have not touched gain etc since set with dd1.

Try running a phone etc straight to amp. Any other ideas appreciated.

  2. That's what I was thinking because I had zero noise and no alt whine now I have both . Think when it popped took out my last working tweeter. Thankfully I haven't installed my new ones yet. makes popping when turned to volume 0 changing source, going to Bluetooth phone etc u get popping. Don't understand why he would just screw-up out of nowhere anyone else experience this issue with pioneer 80prs wonder if it's from bass. Going to start by switching out hu with kenwood screen to see if that works. Hoping it's hu because I believe with sonicelectronix there's a year warranty

  3. i have a dc 5k that all asudden wen into protect mode and dont understand why? was driving my truck bumpin at low volume and all assuden i hear a pop. have noise out of nowhere the mids and highs. and pop noise when i change the source and dc 5k is in protect. i turned of system multiple times to see if it was a fluke thing wont go away. checked fuses in back 14.8 across both sides of fuses. remote turn on is 14.8v as well. voltage is fine at amp so thats not the issue. protect light is on amp. stays constant turning when turning on. goes away if you unplug rcas and just green light. but still have mids and highs with noise. dont know if this is a amp issue or headunit issue leaning towards replacing rcas. bad rcas or defective hu. any help would be appreciated. none of my other 2 amps for mids and twereters our in protect they our playing fine except for the noise.
