Project for this morning...."burp" deck box ... also making room for AudioControl Four.1 source selector/EQ/line driver....which has not yet arrived...

ya....it's pretty much ALL manual...locks, windows, even tranny....get it loud then address all the other stuff. It's not a daily driver, but could turn into one...depends the direction everything goes.....

well, didn't get much at all done on the truck...got some "finishing" stuff on the way...still trying to decide the best way to make all the 1/0 connections up at the battery...any suggestions?

seems to be working fine here....my biggest pain is everytime I close my browser, I have to login again....PITA!

well, not feeling the greatest this morning--but I uploaded a few more pics of the work done this weekend.... Tonneau cover on & lowered down to cover/protect everything.... Kenwood components up front....will prolly add more later, but wanted something nice & clean for competition season coming up real fast... Soundstream amp under drivers seat putting the power to the components...sounds damn clean & loud! image=img00150201005240851.jpg'> guess I'll see how the day goes, and how I feel will determine how much gets done today!

I actually worked at a local electronics store...Radio Shack/car stereo/computers/TV's kind of a local "Best Buy" I guess...I was able to purchase the car audio/cell phone section of the business from the owner with a SBA loan, started renting a building, and off I went. Internet has REALLY changed things since then....have to be more service oriented now, instead of making the $$ on the sale, because you can't anymore...

that's exactly how I had it figured it out, but for some reason I can't draw the diagram out to make it look right.....

I'm thinking 14.5v @ idle.....I've actually been in business since '99---do a lil of everything--car audio, remote starts, Alltel cell phone dealer w/ accessories, skateshop, video/navigation, custom installation/fiberglass jobs... Anyway, subs are reading .8-.9 per coil @ rest through DMM...if I series/parallel 2 sets of 3 subs...each "bank" of 3 would be .6, series would be 1.2...sound right??

well, it's taking longer than expected to get the exhaust pipe ran for the power runs.....I'm having a mental block as how to wire the 6 DVC subs in a series/parallel to end up @ about 1.2ohms...I know I figured it out on paper, but trying to draw up a diagram and it doesn't work out....help~!

I would guess with the 225A alternator should be at a strong 14.4-14.8....actually it's 3/4" MDF---I own/run/manage a car audio shop and I'm building this for a buddy/fellow competitor. We are going to be running 6 of the Level 4 12's with Level 5 coils...box is just shy of 11 cubic feet...port will tune it to 35Hz. Have a couple other boxes/installs to do and the truck goes to muffler shop wednesday, so might not have much of an update until Thursdayish.....L8R

One coat of primer.....truck goes to muffler shop wednesday for some "non-exhaust" work.....will have pics of that up thursday, if all goes well!

not positive on front stage yet....get the beast making boom first...gonna need a healthy front stage to even hear anything over this!

well, it's tuned to 35Hz, so I dunno about huge numbers---but it should hurt!! spread some duraglass...bored waiting for it....

last layer of baffle done....Memphis C3 to test fit....Subs will be brought up to me Saturday. Sand, duraglass, sand --- repeat as necessary on port mouth....

router bit broke....so I built and test fit the battery box today....

didn't get a whole lot done yesterday...put 45's on port behind subs...duraglassed, sanded, n painted port....working on other 3 layers of face now.....will try n post more pics later...

Oh, and yes they are regular 12v batteries...have run 16v in the past, but ran into some local comps that won't allow 16v systems...
