  3. Show went well.....truck did a 156.2 for 3rd place in extreme....good improvement for basically just switching out subs to XL's. Next step, since strapping the SD's isn't working: testing will continue.......back wall flexes BAD!! We may be looking at a rebuild this winter with a lot of steel involved!!
  4. Could the 12" Level 4's w/ Level 5 coil upgrade be used for SQ/SQL application? If so, tune super deep.....I see they don't recommend sealed box for them....why not>? I have a customer that has them and is asking advice since I have experience with the big Dakota build......thanx in advance....
  5. I'm thinkin' you will.....your truck just better not beat the 'scort!!!
  6. never......wouldn't sabotage my own build!
  7. well, it's not working out with 2nd 12Kd....but we got XL's swapped it, box reinforced from Level 4 abuse.....and showing a 156.8 @ 52Hz. XL's seem to have a higher fs and are showing a lil more impedance rise....so we'll see how it does at the comp this weekend. Will have lil conflict of interest this time as I'm pulling out my comp car since it's my store's 11th anniversary competition....
  8. there is a comp in Sidney, MT Saturday July 17th...I know 3 guys from Havre are making the drive....
  9. forgot to put up quick hairtrick video we did before we pulled out subs to upgrade to XL's.....
  10. Got 2 of the XL's today!!! -- here's a comparison XL vs Level 4
  11. sounds like new XL's will all be here by Thursday! Trying to get some 'glassin done on the A-pillars for better front stage, but so far, that's not working out.....
  12. pm/email for more details!
  13. next show coming up is ours....here's a flyer if anyone happens to be in the area....
  14. Dammit Bruce---now we gotta rebuild/modify amp rack for another beast...oh and don't forget...you're helping change out these woofers!
  15. we're working on editing video now...did lots of demos & a few hairtricks.....hopefully will have those up soon!
  16. windows blacked out n stickered up for the show.....
  17. will know official number Saturday afternoon....seems to peak @ 38Hz, so won't be too huge....
  18. my right hand man, Steffan made a quick video while he was demoing for a couple of his friends...more to come...and comp this weekend
  19. well, it's finally alive a shaking things apart....finally got all the 1/0 connectors in and battery terminals. We finished wiring up the Audiocontrol Four.1, "burp" deck, and all the power connections--upgraded stock wiring to 1/0 from alternator to battery, battery to ground, etc. Found out we won't be able to test much in the shop----fired it up and it shook the security monitor off the shelf, and a crap load of stuff came tumbling down in the shop. I will try and get some final pics and most importantly === videos. I do have to do some fine tuning on everything to see where it will peak out for SPL run, we have a comp to go to on the 12th...so clock is ticking!
  20. Memphis amp under seat.... Kenwood KVT-516 in-dash DVD... Open port area with center console taken apart from other two seats.....
  21. and "burp" box finished minus EQ.... sounds like everything should arrive Friday===but will prolly be heading to the lake for the long weekend, even though the forecast sounds crappy...
  22. subs are mounted!!!! and alternator is in!!!!
  23. Truck is off to get the 225A Excessive Amperage alternator installed today...I have a remote start/alarm to put on an '07 Impala SS this morning, then back to work on the burp deck station.....hopefully will update later today! oh ya...had to swap out the Soundstream amp for a slimmer Memphis amp so the seat would clear....will be able to access adjustments much easier with this amp anyway...
