  1. Thanks guys....batteries and amplifier are going in the bed of the truck. I plan on having my exhaust man weld me some 3-4" exhaust pipe under the truck to run the power wire and RCA's back. We are putting a "bed rug" in the back to pretty things up, then I will build a battery box and amp rack. We will also have a "burp" deck in the back for the comps that don't allow you to sit in the vehicle over 140db. Then a tonneau cover will protect everything from the elements and thievery. I run a shop and I ordered all the batteries/power wire/misc. connectors directly from Metra. I think we've got $165 into wood at this point....batteries weigh in at 640 lbs so that will test the suspension a little.... oh, today I'm working on the port -- still have to roundover edges and duraglass up the seams.....
  2. OK, chatting with Rusty...change of plans on the port....need more area....flipping port vertically and it will "T" off 4" off back wall.....
  3. there will be at least 2 more layers on the outside of everything....with seats up/reclined it just looks like 2 12's with a port....
  4. still fighting the port issue....Rusty would like to see 150-160 square inches of port...which I could do, but it would fire directly into the center console--almost acting like a plug. Also, if we want to tune down to 35Hz range for music..it would have to be 24 inches long...only 14" of depth. So, I think I will build as is with a lil over 100 square inches of port...test/tune from there....whatcha think? will set seat in, n take a pic so you can see what I'm talking about...
  5. thanks guys....working on getting the port area/length so can continue building baffle, have a remote start to put in an '08 Titan first this morning...
  6. little more done today...sanded duraglass...1 coat of primer on.
  7. not sure yet...damn center console doesn't move with seat...and would like to have "changeable" port for street beat & music. So, I'm thinking rounded over rectangle port above center console, with an insert to drop tuning down around 35Hz...w/o insert would be about 48Hz
  8. Well, here goes the build....like title says...6 Level 4 12's with Level 5 coils. 6 Shuriken BT-120 batteries, 1 SounDigital 12k, all to be mounted in bed of truck--2000 Dodge Dakota Ext. Cab. Here's tha pics so far.... where it starts... tore down... leveling floor... back wall brace... 45's done n some duraglass... test fit 1st 2 baffles...
