Actually, I like them a lot. I hit my best SPL ever with 6 of them on 2K from 2 JL 1000/1's. I have been trying to beat that with 3x the wattage and 2 15's ever since.

Thanks for all the info. I had considered painting baskets, but I really don't want to invert subs. I have also considered looking for some JL 10w3v2s and trying to dye the JL Audio emblem on the inverted dust caps green to match. The setup that I want to do will take two subs to look like I want. Thanks again for all the help.

ID 10's. I hadn't thought of them. Thanks. Anyone have any idea of something with some green in it? I know that shouldn't be criteria in choosing a sub or subs, but I just want to know my options. We are also considering JL Audio and maybe Alpine. The Type X's would look nice, but they might need a bit more power than what I want in there.

Well, the 12's would probably be out. The trunk needs to stay somewhat open. Honestly, I should be considering 8's since I'm hard headed and won't do a sealed box. I don't know much about DC, I will have to look further into them. Thanks.

Greetings. I just posted a thread in the show off section to show the new toy that my wife and I just got. In this section I would like to request your thoughts. We are looking to do a little something in there for bass. We are thinking 2 10" subs, 500 watts or so. Any recommendations on good sq subs? Please note that I will still be building ported even though it is for SQ. Any idea of a brand and style of sub that has any green color to the cone? The car is green outside with a lot of green accent work. It would be nice to keep up with it. I can't think of any. Anyone trying to get rid of 2 nice 10's let me know. Maybe we can do something. Greetings. I really appreciate the offer, but what I am trying to do is kind of even things out and make them uniform. I have too many mix and match brands. What I want to do is get all of my subs matching. If I did that i would just have another brand in my sub collection. Thanks anyway.

I can't speak for his, but in the case of the last boxes I built for my Diamond 12's, I didn't notice anything different than any other ported enclosure. The boxes were roughly 16.5x16.5x14.5 and the ports were 44" long. They had a few turns in the ports.

All of the items listed on this thread are allocated in some way. Some sold, some traded, some put into use in one of my projects. I do however have a pair of RE SX 15's that are still up for grabs. Dual 2 ohm coils. Both subs are used. Both still fully functional. Anyone serious, feel free to PM me. The only real trade items that might be of interest would be - 2 - Kinetik 2400 A 250-300a HO alt that will fit (with no customization and additional expenses necessary) a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. If you have a Term lab you want gone, we can talk about that too. Depending on the model and condition, I can offer the subs and some $.

I just saw this thread. I really enjoy some of the older horror films. Halloween was particularly a favorite of mine. I am really curious to see what this remake will bring. I have a feeling that it will be a let down, most remakes are, but who knows. One of my favorite things about the original Halloween was that Michael Myers was hardly seen until right at the end. When he was involved it was usually first person pov or there were just quick glimpses of an arm, or a dark shape lurking in the shadows, but that was it. Of course the first person camera pov is kind of out these days so I have a feeling they won't be duplicating that. As a general rule I don't watch movies in the theatre but I might try to make time for this one.

You are correct. His name is Richard. Really cool guy. I have heard that he has done higher, but I saw him pull off a 155.0db on these 2 15's and this amp. Being able to see what it did on the TL really got me interested. Thanks.

Well, just bragging to start off with. It is very rare that instances happen like this. I was stuck in a big moral debate which was buy a Soundstream XXX-6500d or by a RF Power series amp. Due to some really good luck I was able to get out of that dilemma on both sides. As of a couple of weeks ago I have 2 T30001BD (I have 3, but 2 in use), each of which is running an RE SX 15. Now I have these AudioQue HD3 15's and the XXX-6500d to play with. So, I want to hear some opinions of these items, and with such an odd combination of items, what should I do?

I threw one of my Diamond subs in for comparison. I was too lazy to pull my RE SX 15's out. What does everyone think?

Can someone please show me where to find these (the Type X 15's that is)? I looked on Alpine's web site. Where are they, who sells them?

Would your parents rather you be out smoking crack, buying whores, stealing, etc? I don't mean that you would particularly do any of these things, but for me I have a wild, imagination and creative side to me. If it doesn't get fed then it starts trouble that I really do not need. Working with car audio systems can really be used to nurture a persons creative side. Maybe that explanation applies to you, if so, then tell them that.

Then you have the freaks like me. I'm running 2 SX15's on 2 Rockford T30001BD's. I wouldn't recommend it though. I'm sure that I am rapidly deleting the life left in them. The other side of this is that I ran a JL 1000/1 to each one before this, and they did pretty nice of them too. Not near as loud, but not bad.
