there expensive but at this local shop by me 2 audio pulse ultra lms 12's drowned out this guy that had 4 TC 18's. they are with-out a doubt the loudest subs i have ever heard

TC makes AudioPulse.i dont see 2 12s drowning out 4 18's unless the 18' was powered with 100 watt amp.

Yeah maybe someone can help me on some insite of this. My buddy tried telling me that 15"s and 18"s miss beats of a song compared to 8" and 10"s, because of the fact that the larger subs take longer from their peak excursion to come back to to reproduce the next beat of music. He said 8, and 10's have a faster response. I personally dont belive it. I just think the 15"s and 18"s play louder and deeper.

it really depends on the freq range of the sub.
