  1. I'm not doing it to the Civic, I have not purchased the Civic yet, I am doing this is a 2000 Ford Contour Sport, nothing special, just want to have some summer fun behind I sell.

I'm set on getting the Civic Si Sedan end of summer, close to winter when dealers put out their sales... hopefully..

But yes, I know Greddy is amazing!!! I've driven an Acura Integra GSR with Greddy and its BAD!!!! Love the sound!

But yes, just something cheap, 20$ i dont care, lol..

  2. Ok, so I know VERY little about this topic except that exhaust can add performance and sound.

I'm not so much looking for performance, if i get it, hey, great, if not owell.

I just want to add some sound to my car.. something cheap and easy that will give me some sound. 20-50$ ?? I dont know how cheap I can get it for... i'm getting rid of the car perhaps end of summer but just want to have some fun with it..

So if someone has some advice or some links, or ebay links, or some idea of WHAT I SHOULD GET.. cuz i really have no idea.

  3. i have 4GB!! lol..

I have PLENTY room, i will be using these songs on my ipod too so i wanted to know the best formate for cell phones anyway.. but seeing how the LG Voyager is capable of both MP3 and ACC, and seeing how ACC (128) is roughly equal to MP3 (192) I'm going to leave my songs at ACC and convert the non-ACC to ACC.

Think I got it all down pat! lol...

only got 200 songs i chose to put on there.. not many but i'll find more time for more lol.. i may even add like entire albums and CDs lol, i can still fit 8x the amount i have on there now.. lol. I'll have plenty room that wasnt a problem

BTW, i got my 4GB on sale at staples for 49.99 *With USB Card Reader (its really compact too, slightly larger than an SD card)

  4. yeah 192 is the average of what most songs i download are. that's a good one to go with imo. if you wanted...convert one to 192, and some higher, remember which song is which and compare. tho i'm sure you'll be satisfied with 192.

    i feel ya man.

I'm just wondering, i want to keep all my formats the same but my cell phone really doesnt need high quality so i dont want them at TOO high quality, i'd rather have average and save space.. idk.. lol.. I have 4GB of storage and 4GB of music on my itunes library.. but i'm not using even half my library just my popular/favorite songs you know.. so i can go with high quality

So should i just leave it at 128 kbps ACC? or should i knock it to MP3 192? i mean they are about the same quality, so which is going to take up less space?

  5. By Default

iTunes has 3 levels of MP3 bit rate.

    128 kbps

    160 kbps

    192 kbps

BUT, using custom settings you can go as high as

    224 kbps

    256 kbps

    320 kbps

My question is, if I convert my iTunes library from ACC to MP3 which MP3 bit rate should i use so that i'm keeping rouhgly the SAME QUALITY and keeping roughly the SAME FILE SIZE?

Is the MP3 (320 kbps) still less quality and less file size than ACC?

  6. i have the LG 8300 and i use MP3 format.. the more bitrate (sp?), the bigger the file, the better quality (i think, correct me if im wrong).

i'm about to convert my entire music library from ACC to MP3 but not sure which bit rate to set it at?

there is many high quality bit rates, but would all them be smaller than ACC format? i know ACC is supposably better quality but larger file size

  7. Yesterday went to verizon, got off my parents family share plan and now i'm on my own plan... OH BOY lol..

Well I havn't got my new phone JUST YET cuz they were out of stock at the time, so i'm still stuck with my old phone.

But I'm getting the LG Voyager.

I'll put up pics when i get it, i think they get more in on wednesday

I like how it has GPS, thats pretty pimp!

  8. That would be a crazy paint job.

Reacting to heat or sunlight! thats pretty cool, but the only thing is it would be like different color all over all the time lol, unless its cold monring its like black lol..

    Really cool tho!!

People will be wanted to put there hands on it to warm it up and putt their hand print on it...

you'll park your car go shopping come back out and see hand prints.. lol

  9. keep in mind you'll spend like tripple if not more on making this system setup because you need power inverter/converters to go from 120v to 12v and you have to have the right powerlines and proper amps and reciever to power these speakers.

The box build will be the easiest and cheapest part to do but without the proper tuning it wouldnt be worth it at all.

  10. 5.1 is just basically your left, right, center (aka FRONTS) and then the other 2 are your Left Surround and Right Surround (positioned side of listener) then you have a Subwoofer.

6.1 could be an additional Rear called Center Rear (position directly behind listener

7.1 is Just like the 5.1 setup but with 2 extra Rear aka Left Rear and Right Rear. (positioned behind listener)

    Here are examples of each...
