  1. Ok. Would i then need an amp that does 2500 rms at 4ohms to distribute the power like you said? or one that does 2500 at 2ohms because they're 1ohm each
  2. Its hard to find an amp that does so much at 4ohms. How could i wire down that low?
  3. Thank you that made everything so much clearer lol. So if i have a final impedance of 2 ohms i would need to find an amp that does 2500w rms at 4ohms?
  4. Being kind of a noob with car audio still i have a question. Im saving up for two soundstream splx 15's dual 2ohms at 1250rms. With those being the subs im saving for im trying to find a good monoblock amp. My question is i've seen amps that say 2500w rms x 1 channel, does that mean it distributes half of that 2500w to both subs giving each 1250w? I've also seen amps that only say 2500w rms, and nothing about it being one channel. Should i be looking for one that doesnt say anything about the " x 1 channel" or is an amp that says 2500w rms x 1 channel exactly what im looking for? Also im wondering about getting one amp for each subwoofer, what are the pros/cons about doing that and how would i hook them up. Thank you for sticking with me and any help is appriciated.
  5. Everything im finding is DC to AC, even though im searching for AC to DC.
  6. I'm asking simply for that reason. I don't want to fuck it up. I'm here to learn from people who do know.
  7. Have any idea what i should get and where to find it?
  8. Im going to buy a car amp anyway because i plan on having it in a car eventually. Would something like this work? http://www.amazon.com/Power-Bright-PW2300-12-Inverter-2300/dp/B002AMPGE6/ref=sr_1_13?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1366750258&sr=1-13&keywords=12v+converter+to+110v
  9. I don't have my subs quite yet, but I want to know how i can install my car radio in my room. I've seen people use computer power supplies but only like single 12's. Would it be safe to do that with 2 15's at about 2000 rms? I've thought to myself that if i just buy a car battery for this purpose how would I keep it charged at a stable voltage? Are there any other methods of safely doing this? This is a relatively temporary setup (about a year) until i can put it into my car, so i don't want to get to crazy with costs. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

  11. How is soundstream? Im looking at 2 soundstream tarantula T7.152's and for not much over budget i can get 2 DTR1.900D's or a TX1.2000D. Im fairly certain im going to get these subs and as far as amps i would like to stick to soundstream just to keep it all in the family. Which would be better, two smaller amps or one bigger one? Any other amps i should look into? I really appreciate all the help.
  12. How are these? http://www.amazon.com/SA-15-D2-Sundown-Audio-Subwoofer/dp/B004ILQJ20/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1366489612&sr=1-2&keywords=sundown+e15 what kind of amp should i run them with. you said i get more power running at 1ohm how would i do it?
  13. I don't want to go over $700 total, that's what insurance is paying me back. And yes those are the kickers i'm looking at they run 2400 watts max each. But hell i'm totally up for suggestions to go louder, i just cant go over budget. The only thing they didn't take is my box which is 7.2 cubes and tuned to 34 hz and all my wire.
  14. Im still kind of new at this so any help will be greatly appreciated. I just recently had both my 15's stolen along with my amp. I plan on upgrading to kickers new compRs dual 4 ohm 15s and there running 1200 rms. From looking around a little ive found the Lanzar Vibe292N 5k and its thing for dual 4ohm is 1250 x 2 channels. Would this setup work? Or would you have any other advice as far as a better amp to get? I want to keep it around the same price range but im willing to go a little higher.
  15. a friend of mine thats got 1 12 that kicks my speakers ass so i asked for some advice and he told me to make it about a cubic foot smaller. i only plan on changing my power and ground wire to some 0 gauge. and running some 4 gauge from my subs to the amp. the next box i builds gonna be tuned a few hz higher. so im just gathering info from everyones oppinion if just a little smaller of a box and some bigger wire would make me bump louder.
