  1. I want to go to another HIN. Was in New Orleans, I belive in 2004..Before that it was Dallas, Texas, 2003 or 2002...I like HIN one of the better import car shows around...Hope someone posts a few pics...

  2. KingSuv and to all of you. You all need to try Bittorrents. That is where you can get complete cd's..Oh..I am not suppose to say stuff like that on here...I probably have 300 Gigs of Music, plus real cd's and Mp3's...I have old school to new school..Bass music, all that..Screwed and Chopped, even got old school bass music from the early 90's..Got the complete Discography of Bass Mechanic..Techmaster PEB, Even Got the all time greatest Dj Fury stuff..I might be a country Hick, but my music is top notch...!!

  3. Yea I can relate..I am from Natchez, Mississippi. Only a stones throw from New Orleans..Bout 3 hrs...Yea man I am really excited about trying to get my system sounding good..I have been in Many Competitions and even won some trophys, but I never had to build my own boxes..All my boys that were in our car club would just do it for me..We had a couple of guys who were the Designated box builders, I was the Designated beer drinker so..I just bought the wood and Layed back..But now I am married all my boys are out of the Bass game and yo boy is still in it..Just without the Club..So I have to figure all this box building out..The fat mat wont be hard to do, I got all that...Now that i know about how much it will take no problems..But I want to build a ported box for my P1's cause I know they will sound better and move a little more air than sealed..I just like the sound of ported boxes over sealed..P1's are inexpensive an if I blow one I won't cry..Cause I can just buy another..I do need to get me a nice amp. My little Sony works for now..But I like old school amps not these new mass produced amps..Like the Old Punch series, Us Amps. I am sure I need to get outta the stone age, but the older amps just were built better in my opinion...

  4. Well I think I will buy the First 100 Sq ft. Then next time buy another 100..Should have enough then..Just trying to rebuild my civic back to the way it was before I got Married..Ha Ha..3 yrs of no new parts and washing it about every 3 months have taken its toll..I am going to buy a Carbon Fiber Trunk Lid because my current one has a dent in it and looks like swiss cheese because of the different spoilers I have had on it...It is a work in progress..Needs new motor, new suspension, Rear interior panels..Old ones were cut in half because of a wall I had with 6 10's... But car seat takes priority now..So does my 2 kids with one on the way..Yea...But still gonna keep my hobby alive..Hopefully...So will I need a heat gun to put this Fat Mat down properly?? I am a newbie at really getting technical with subwoofers..I have had alot of them in the past...Just all Sealed Enclosures, no ported except for a Jl audio setup..

  5. Ok.... Bass box pro 6 is tricky, I still haven't figured it out. Download WinISD beta, that is basically the same program as bass box pro but without any of the confusing stuff.

When it comes to dynamat (fatmat, w/e) You'd be suprised how much is actually in the box when you open it up. The goal of dynamatting is to make the tinny metal of your car more like armor. With a pair of P1's, two layers on your headliner and trunk lid will do the trick. 50sq. ft is enough. 50 sq. feet should actually get your doors, headliner, and your trunk lid. If you plan on upgrading subs later on, or you just wanna do a really good job, get the 100 and do like 3 layers everywhere, that will sound amazing.

After you design your box in winisd, it will give you the outer dimensions of you box. (click on the units to change them to ft!!!) and using some basic math or common sense you can figure out the cuts. I would not rely on other people to get you cut lists if you plan on building boxes in the future, it's good to know how to do it.

I agree with you. I don't like relying on other people. As for the Fatmat I will get the 100 Sq feet...I want to do the whole car..Trunk Floor, lid, sides behind panels, doors, roof all that..I will start with trunk first..The p1's sound good in my prefab crap box, but I know they will sound better in a portec box..I know I won't get the kind of results as having a high dollar, high power system. But for just everyday listening these will do the trick...I am going to go and try WinIsd Beta..Thank you for your help...

  6. Hello everyone. Just want to say to everyone, and of course Mr. Meade this Site rocks..Look I have a general question about how much (estimation) fat mat would be needed to Fatmat a 96-00 Honda Civic...I want to order some but don't want to order to much..Looking at either 100sq ft or 50sq ft..Which would you guys go with?? I have 2 P112s4's and I just want to take some of those pesky rattles out of the equation.. Also if any of you guys have built a Ported box for 2 of these woofers..Hook me up with a cut out sheet..I have Bass Box 6 Pro, but man you have to be a rocket scientist to use it..Still trying..But not having to much luck..This is my first Ported box to build but It shouldn't be hard..I can cut a straight line..So..Like I said..I refer to this site alot..It is great to have guys out there intrested in the same thing as me..Plus them 18's slam..Thanks in advance..
