its been said before a sub is stupid it does what its told period fast high bass low and slow bass what ever its all in the install
and therefor any sub could be used to do good sq as well look at kingsuv or bill 2 dc 18's lvl 5's i beleive was able to score over an 81 in meca sq out of a score of a 100
i used a lvl 3 12 and it did real well for sq as well
its more about your amp and box then anything
Hell Alpine has been the closest one yet.
"tunning" you box higher means you didn't build the box correctly in the first place. My 2 18's ported box peaks at 37hz, plays down to 18hz with authority and will keep up with any speed double kick.
Getting a low tuned box to play the double kick is easier then getting a higher tuned box to play the low notes.
Try turning up the xover on the amp a little. My EQ brings the subs up to 63hz. My midbass comes in at 63hz and plays to 250 then the mids play from 250 to 3.2k and the tw takes the rest. A true dbl kick is in the 55ish range something that 99% of most midbass drivers CAN NOT keep up with. Don't short change your sub range on a bad design. Besides, a kick drum is on average 22" why would you want to reproduce that through a 6" speaker

ya its deff the angle after seeing how you have them mounted. the best ive seen some led's look is when my buddy mounted a bunch of singles in the acrylic and taped them flush on the backside. the plexi lights up more.

I have taken leds and drilled single holes for each one so they sit "inside" the edge of the plexi... not sure if this is the look you want tho it lights the plexi more then the "enclosed" area

honestly I dont know of any amp that is truerly gunna give you 12-1500w for under 2bills unless you buy it used man.... I suggest saving up and doing some hardcore research on this forum to see whats out there.... maybe after I have my coffee I can get to thinking...

most of my family doesnt "get it" idk I just explain politely that its something that brings me joy, and its a great hobby that can teach awesome fabrication skillz. It may also lead to a job, or at least some $$ for you someday doing it on the side if thats what you want. After I showed my 55 yr old father the suburban..... he was truely impressed

guys, i have found its MUCH easier and faster to hit the delete button instead of moving your posts around. This is the off topic area. We have a video section for video's. We have an OFF TOPIC video section for non car audio video's. We have amplifier and subwoofer sections. Why do people continue to put stuff here that has a place somewhere else? I am getting tired of moving them for you, it is just easier to hit the delete button.
