  1. Haha Was just talking about this this last week!

All of our stock batteries at work are kept on top of a wooden plank or a pallet lol...I'm not the one who is going to get chewed out by a half deaf 70 year old shop manager! Nor do I try and teach and old dog new tricks!

I'll admit having 100lb+ batteries up off the floor is kinda nice!

for the record all my xs d2700's have been sitting on the concrete in my garage for 5+ months and still rest at 12.8volts :)

  2. just my 2 cents but have you checked spark? I mean you should be able to pull the plugs out one at a time and crank it to see if each one is firing...if they aren't then could be the plugs, or wires or distibutor so on and so forth...just saying if it sounds like it's "missing" that's not a bad place to start....but might be good to throw it in another thread...your build though...not telling you what to do :)

  3. kinda sad when Steve's D.G.A.F build looks better than allot of peoples G.A.F build!

Nice goodies! Lookin forward to seeing the electrical all juiced up and pumpin some powa!

edit: Those SHCA zip ties are actually really nice! Different from the thousands I've used at work, well worth the 8 bucks a pack!

  4. The most unique?

Kinda hard to put your finger on the most unique! Seeing as the whole is soo clean and custom!

I would have to say other than what people have already said when you turn the meters on and all including the vm-1 sweep the led's from one side to the other and back, because i thought only the tm-1 and om-1 do that?

My original vm-1 doesnt do that...but Tony is fixing that for me right now :D

If thats not it, i think you should tell us!

  5. I'm with Nate, maybe he did not read the part where you wrote how about the dash and center console are from eachother in those vehicles? Its kind of a crappy place to put anything because they face two different directions and you are trying to put something in the meeting place of those two. I mean you have to match about 4 different angles to get something to look like it flows with the rest....looks like his dash couldn't follow any direction of any sort...looks like he just made an opening and crammed them in there!

Thank you Steve for not being a Dick like this guy and reaming allot of member builds that are not as quality as yours, mine included! :D

  6. Nice man! I had the same idea about cutting the faceplates down like that and making one solid bezel with those gauges but went a different rout. But the way you did it came out better than I imagined, now you got me thinking about trying that again! Super clean! Yeah just did a mock up for my fan setup and wired up my TM-1.....it's seriously sooo nice not having to even worry about fans now! That TM-1 works really really nice! Works beautifully!

Guages came out amazing....but let's not forget the hvac and other controls relocation.....that was some nice clean work in there! Have fun extending all those wires lol!

  7. Dude....I'm stealing that idea lol! Seriousely though great work!! that came out awesome...I placed mine where the factory ac controls were and they are bright which is nice but it did distract me so I put some plexi over them and smoked it with some night shades paint I bought at o'rielly auto. Worked prefect! if you were to tape off the rest of cluster with plastic you could just do a light coat...would save you ungluing it.

best solution would be unglue it and ask a tint shop for a scrap piece and use that...hope it isn't intense much for you!
