got memphis big belle and two 12's i bought in germany esx signum. box tuned to 33hz thanks for embedding it i'm so computer stupid it aint funny

  2. had to add a bass knob to my system cause the new dvd player i got doesnt cut the sub. but for a fleeting second i felt like meade playing with the knob lol. i did get to scare some friends with the bass, i wish i had my camera when they grabbed thier ears, one of even screamed it's tickling my nose ,just wish it was a girl that said it lol still don't know how to embed the vids so here's link

  3. Just get a crayon and draw a radio on it. :P

Then when people get in your car you can say "yeah, I've got a kickass stereo..."

Then pull the cover off and WHAM!!!

all you guys are nuts haha! yeah it's also kinda for security. iv'e never owned a deck where the face can't come off, well except way back before they made detachable faces. i figure someone on the walking buy would see a blank space and maybe not take notice. i never bump anywhere close to places i park for any amount of time so you woudn't look at my car twice anyway. but now that the creative juices are flowing i think imight just get an old flatface radio and put knobs and such together so it looks factory or at least to cheap to steal lol

  4. made this cover goofin off one night at work cause the face on this jvc doesnt come off so wanted to protect to the screen and maybe just maybe make someone not interested in it. and i will paint the cover flat black just had grey handy so bare metal wouldnt be showing.

lemme know what yall think, ditch it, design improvements etc.

  5. I have a PA Area 51 1200 amp and I recently blew out a resistor. I have tried to contact PA directly but all they could give me was a very low-res jpg of the wiring schematic and a good luck. Apparently they don't service that model anymore and very few places know how to work on them. Since it appears that only that one resistor blew, I should be able to repair it, I just need to know what resistor to use. If anyone has one and would be willing to look or has any other information as to the code for the resistor it would be greatly appreciated.

The ID number for the resistor on the circut board is R100S.

It is located right behind the wire connectiong running to the neon bar that runs along the top(which is what shorted it out so if you have one and are taking it apart be sure you get the wire tucked back in correctly)

once again, id really apreciate any help someone could give me and thanks in advance.

did you contact db-r? maybe they can help.

  7. don't forget safety!!!! i wasn't thinkin when i was lowering my toy and took the bolt outta the middle clamp and pow!! the meaning of SPRING became very clear as it pinned my hand to the gound. luckily it caught the meat of my thumb off-center of the spring cause otherwise it woulda broke my hand. the guys that sold me the lowering blocks didn't tell me to prop the spring i don't hurt myself!

  10. Ok so im really concerned because i ordered a FI BL 15.I was looking over my order today and I realized that i accidently put SPL instead of DAILY DRIVER. I also put EXTREME LEADS on it. Now im afraid that it wont last very long and i might of have just wasted my money. On top of that i was supposed to recieve it yesterday. Anyone know how i can get hold of FI. I emailed them but know one replied. I just email Nick.

just leave a message on the forum also nick is pretty good about answering customers. give him a day scott and nick have a lot of orders to go through and emails, but they won't leave you hangin'. sometimes there are other poeple on the forum that can help you out as well. i don't think you wasted your money though with those two options because if the woofer gets to you before the order is changed fi is very good about exchanges. it will probably just cost shipping and loss of time with your setup.

  11. so is this the same u want to trade for a 15" ssd?

it is a very nice sounding low end monster

that woofer is a beast. i had a friend in germany who bought a truck that had a system in it and the guy had two of those twelves in it. the only reason i recognize it without seeing the cone is the magnet is different than the other eclipse. my buddy was gonna sell them to me for 200 bones cause he wasn't really into boomin systems, that is until other people started offering way more money. he then realized he had something special and kept them.i was soooo close...sigh

  12. Hey guys, just curious what the difference between a 2.2ch (3 way) system is and a 4.2 (F/R/Sub-W) system. My headunit features the option of setting up to either way but I've always just had it on factory setting of 4.2.

In the future I will be adding in speakers after my new subs. I'm going to put in 4x6" replacements in the rear pillars, and I'm shooting towards 6.5" midranges in the doors with tweeters in the A-pillars, what is the difference in that setup compared to my current stock speaker configuration, and should I change the head unit crossover system after the new speakers?

If anyone would be kind enough to give a bit of explanation it would be MUCH appreciated. Here's a link to the deck.

    Thanks tons!

hmm, not really sure how to answer the question about the difference between 3&4 way system i'm thinking that the 2 ch 3 way system would only use two of the outputs of your radio to go into a crossover, eq or amp that then splits the signal to fr/r/sub. the other uses all outputs to have it's own input into c/o, eq or amps. i would think that's whats meant, maybe someone else will correct me or agree. as far as changing the crossover points on your new speakers your going to have to play that one by ear. a component set is going to give you a lot better sound (assuming you still have stock?). you don't have to change; i would leave the settings alone at first and see what it sounds like then play from there. the only person that can tell you what sounds good is you.
