  1. i went on a little drive today and seen something kind of stupid like that this guy had bucket buick century lifted with some big ass rims, and a gucci pattern on the top half of the car and had 4 speakers in his grille, looked and sounded terrible

that reminds me of this other car i saw. guy had that burberry pattern not only painted on the car but had his interior stiched the same. i wish i had taken pics but those idiots wouldv'e thought i was liking thier crap! lol and the next guy that pulled up next to me with that crap i politley rolled down all my windows and showed him what two sets of 6.5 components and two twelves on memphis mch1300 sounds like....mmmm pure sexx! i love dirty looks when your shit gets drowned out. especially when you know that i do it on pupose!!!! :diablo:

  2. 5zsvki7shpm0mpxsqlj2_thumb.jpg audiobahn 2200hc installed this in a buddy of mines truck the other day on two cerwin vega hed 15's and i must say i was unimpressed. it was ok it slammed to say he got it for 100 dollars but i could tell just by listening he was not getting or going to get anywhere near 1600 watts it promised maybe 700-1000 if he's lucky. and he didn't want to buy 0 gauge wire so 4 gauge for power 8gauge for speaker. anyway less then three days later he had to buy new alt, and battery! course i think they were about to go out anyway. when i tuned his system i didnt use a dmm or anything but i only turned the gain to just under half, no boost, and crossover at 50. to me still sounded a shade over bleah let's hear it for audiocrap!! yay
  3. well i went home on leave to new orleans, and since being back in the states for a year i have gotten used to the hidious trends that have started from my bros in the south, don't like it just got used to it. you know donks cars, and cars that have mad stickers on them to look like theyv'e been sponsered or nascar stickers. it's too funny to see a "gangsta" wif gold fronts in a monte carlo made to look like Dale Earnhardt, or my two personal favorites: bright yellow 93 camaro on 22's with the original wolverine sticker from front to back, or the green crown vic on 24's with holiday inn written across it lol i thought it was a cab!!! anyway the new source of my irritation had to be when iwas sitting at a stoplight and turned my system down so's not to disturb everybody and i kept hearing music that sounded like it was coming from a carnival pa speaker. i noticed that the sound was coming from this guy behind me. i thought man his ears must be hurting with pa speakers in his car yuck! then he passed me and his windows were up W T F ?!?!? the sound was coming from his wheel wells he had speakers mounted there so you could hear what he was hearing 80 ??!! then i thought maybe it was just this idiot but the more i drove through new orleans the more people i heard with that setup. white dudes, blacks, even hispanics got 'em. what the hell is going on? am i just getting old? or is the south just getting more and more f'n STUPID?

  4. i'd keep it, just don't install it for a few weeks just to see if they realized thier mistake. the shady side of me says if someone put the darn thing in the box and the onvoice only has one listed...as far as i'm concerned i only got one f'em. and from my experience in retail so much stuff goes out of a store at a time the only way they'd know you had the particular item that was missing was if the stocker for some particular reason knew your box from the hundreds that go out or your invoice says you got two and only paid for one. say it again f'em lol

  5. well i guess i was going by base price of lowest package... so 27k-40k base depending on what he wants.... and loaded 45k max which I guess he would probably be getting if he can afford an m6.

They are still in an entirely different class. If I was looking at getting either a truck versus an M6, I would probably be looking at a Mark LT or an EXT, not a toyota. I was just trying to point out the difference of class that those 2 vehicles are "luxury-wise".

edit: I guess i should have replaced "expensive" with luxurious.

don't get hung up on class of vehicles and prices, you ever stop to think maybe he just likes toyotas? and if money isn't a big factor he's going with what he likes not what suits a particular price class. my .02

  6. I do recommend upgradeing to 1/0 gauge.

Look at darvex for high quaility power wire.

    in short:

My local shop sells 1/0 gauge for $8.00 a foot.

Darvex the same 1/0 seems to average $4.25 a foot and less.for the same stuff.

yeah i am definatley going with 1/0ga but right now my truck was loaded with 4ga and i spent a ton of money upgrading everything else so the switch will be easy. any of you guys use a 0/1g to 4g reducer terminal? the guy at the local shop suggested one, but isnt that defeating the purpose of upgrading in the first place? makes me wonder why memphis only used 4g terminals for this amp even though it's pulling all that power?

  7. See you wont get a quick answer cause you didn't even bother using a search and look for yourself.

Dont be lazy, do some homework.

i really dont like being an internet smartass but with this long answer you gave, it might have been easier to do this

    100a=bad, 160 or larger=good.

less space, question answered, no aggravation :D

  8. thanks for your replies right now i am using 4 gauge wire since i had it already in the vehicle, and the terminals on the amp accept 4 gauge. when i get more money and time i'll add 0 gauge, but in the meantime, i will get a 160a fuse then. thank you guys a lot.

  9. hey folks i just recently installed my memphis mch1300, and it's a really good sounding amp. i'm a little confused about what outboard fuse to run. it uses 6 30a fuses and i have a 100a fuse between the amp and battery. is the 100a fuse big enough or do i need more?

can somebody please just take two seconds and say if the 100 amp fuse is big enough or should i go up?

  11. Stay away from legacy. Legacy amps are pieces of shit. They are very overrated. They are nowhere near their rated power. The cheapest amp I wound go with is a power acoustik. They hold up pretty good but they are a little overrated. For an example a power acoustik may be rated at 2000watts but it only puts out 1300watts but the amp only cost $250. You got a 1200watt amp for $250. Thats a hell of a deal you cant beat that.

i don't understand why anybody would want an amp that says it puts out one thing and it actually does something far less; 1300 out of 2000 is one heck of a drop! i am not being a smartass or trying to start an internet fight but thats like buying a 2008 mustang cobra with an 89 escort engine under the hood lol. dont get me wrong he may be happy with a power acoustik but why not suggest some good amps that do thier rated power for that money? AQ1200, sundown1000, cadence atx1000,rf8002(underrated) all of these can be had for under 250! plus theres a guy here selling 2 rf1000 for 250 shipped!

  12. id go DC to really be different ;)

hes just trying to sell you something from his shop

well idk about dc, but just bought some fi ssd 12's and couldnt be happier. i have managed to mess up my trunk lock dislodge my rear window(it leaks now), and my rearview mirror is loose. and they are underpowered (about 6-700 per 12) in a box that is just bare minimum 1.9 per 12 tuned to 33hz. i tell people im running fi and their like who? then i pop the trunk play something and after they pick up thier jaws the want to know where they can get some! i know i hurt some guys feelings at show this past weekend, he was blasting his kicker system in an ugly donk caprice and i popped in a cd in my 74 benz let the fi's knock and people walked away from his car never to go back again Bwaaaahahahaaa! i have become a fi man! so should you

  13. this is prolly a stupid question but its the only thing holding me back from ordering wire. do i need a 4 channel rcas for a 4 channel amp. or do i just need 2 rcas like a subs amp.

with this amp it can go four channel out with only two rca's in. you would need the other rca cables hooked into the other channels if you wanted front and rear fade capabilities and a little more stereo seperation. so its just on what you are planning to do. hope this helps

  14. pfft even the baby belle is a better amp then that lil punch amp. If it wasnt for the Power line i wouldnt recommend anything RF makes for amps.

i lost faith in rf a long time ago i used to own two punch 45's two 150's and i still have very rare power 300 those were decent amps they would get hot enough to fry eggs or body parts (experience talking) but they still packed "THE PUNCH". i have the p8002 cause i needed an amp at the time and this guy happened to be selling it for cheap. he got back from iraq and bought three of em just because. but i will not buy another one thats for damn sure. cause even with thier supposed new technology that thing heats up faster and shuts down quicker than any amp ive owned. and i own and have owned quite a few.
