DAMN!! nice...dont think that thing is gonna flex much..lol
i hope not, that would take away from the scores; hopeing to bassrace next season on my 3000rms
-
well theres no need for 4 DC 12"s in the back of that K5
well maybe not but i still need it loud to be able to hear musicover the exhaust; 6 6x9, 1 10", tweeters as center channel, all off 1 4channel mounted behind the glove. with the to off the vocals could be heard about 300yards away. sucks for those who dont like country music! LoL
-
thanks everyone who replied, ill be sure to post pics after I grease the back of my car up and drop kick that box into place (16 cubes)
-
they (DOT) told me that if im going to drive my blazer with the top off it needs to be registered as commertial vehicle... FTL and that was after getting pulled over numerous times for same offense.
never been pulled over in it.....probably a good thing since my exhaust does not quite fall in the realm of legal volume; as measured legal( 105db at an idle, 120+ at 3000rpm
-
dont know either jack. is burrito eating taco's again?
probably.......
-
beware getting pulled over with the top off!!! you should think about re-registering it as commercial...
why do you say that...
-
hey jack! just curious bro... is your K-5 registered as a commercial vehicle?
no it is reg as a passenger vehical, plans for rhino lining and whinch, on board air and front arb

Hah, yeah. I know that and I'm sure the other guy made a typo.
So, OP, you got those other two subs free? Or major discount or what...??
no major discount... these subs are awesome for the price. just sold a pair of RF T2 15's to finance this set up.
-
went to visit sound sollutions in nv, look what followed me home. could not leave these guys out in the weather so i decided to keep them. now i just need to give them a house to share with the other two.

2001 is a real basic install... just put the shifter in drive, pop off the trim around the stereo and then press the tabs on the sides of the deck to slide it out. i would take a rag and lay it across the ac controls will you try to unplug the harness from the rear of the hu to avoid scratches. wire up intgration module and mount stereo....enjoy
-
disconnect harness from deck and use multimeter to check each speaker wire for resistance to ground. if the meter reads any at all, there is a short

dc audio got me a 151.2 3rd place western regionals in SS1-2NW, these subs kick ass

just some break in runs at half power(about 700 each) the sound quality is great even though the camera cant tell. please ignore the acadamy award winning film work!!!
-
it works fine when the truck is either in the on position or on. it started doing this maybe 2 months ago. id just like to listen to the radio without having the truck in the on position. and yes, it worked when i first installed the head unit, now it doesnt.
did you check all the fuses for acc/ign also fuses under the hood. what year is your truck? does it have a gmrc01 interface for the deck wiring? if all else fails just run your stereo ign wire down to your steering column under the dash and slder a connection to the 12 guage brown wire in the main ignition harness; just make sure you add fuse at that location

This post is useless without pics!
You better do rusty proud with those.
ill try to do pics... and for those who asked... i am currently in ss12nw
-
i just want to say thanks to Rusty for coming through for me on short notice... just received a pair of L4D2 for my geo and if all goes well i will be purchasing 2 more of them for the box that i have built for 4 15,s . Also need to thank thumper02 for the connection that made this possible. cant wait to hear these in my car and see if a 150 is in my near future.
-
what vehicle is it gonna go in?
see video(geo flex) money is tight so all i can do is eell and re buy. just want it louder... 150+ on music would be nice on only 3000wrms
-
This is Christian, if all you got is 3000 watts total, you should NOT run MT's. If you want four 15's with that power, FI SSD's or RE SE's will be better. MT's are OK with 1500 watts minimum...but there are MUCH better woofer with even 1500 watts on each. IF you can do 3000 watts on each mt 15, you will be SLAMMIN!!!!!!
There are better choises than MT'swith thr power you have available, but you have many options
1. RF woofers
2. RE woofers
3. FI woofers
4. DD woofers
hi christian, I have the T2's now (the geo metro) but dont have the money for 2 more or the amps to run 4 of those, which is why i was thinkink of 4 T115's just dont want to blow those
