  1. techincally 5 over is infact what it says ... over the speed limit. truth be told, you can infact be given a ticket for goin 1 mile over the speed limit.
  2. all these environmental issues are natural, a good example is when the vikings walked on Greenland ... which is now covered in ice. to be honest things that used to happen naturally to the world dont happen as often as they used to ... sure we affect the environment and sure we should do things to make it better, but that does not give someone the right to vandalize someones own posessions ... what they did to that hummer would be just like me going and burning down a forest (which i would never do). im not against the environmentalist, im against the assholes who think that they can do this shit and claim good, its bullshit, they should be punished to the ful lextent of their crime.
  3. here is what im gonna build tomorrow, hopefully i can finish it in decent time (average on other boxes is about 9 hours to finish jus building, not getting materials). cant wait
  4. well if matchin the rms isnt an issue id say go with the 2000 i think that would sound the best
  5. for sure i think it might be a good investmento to get one because can also inprove sound quality.... pluse the cap provides a gaurenteed constant supply. im just goin off my past problems.
  6. the cap creates a stable voltage flow, if the amp draws more volts that it can handel it will blow fuses, i have had that problem in my car. normally higher wattage amps need them. but your right they dont provide power, they jus keep a stable current instead of one that dips low and spikes ... also prevents your lights from dimming every time your subs hit
  7. well depending on the subs and what you can wire them to either one would be good IMO. you want to match the wrms so whichever one make s the best match is the one you should go with
  8. are you running a capacitor? because if you have a lot of watts being given out and of it spikes really bad, lets say on a really deep low that could cause a voltage burst that your amp cant take.
  9. what size fuses are you running anyways?
  10. when you run just one battery you have the fuse inline between the amp and the battery so in reallity i would think that you could just run one fuse between the 2nd battery and the amp. otherwises id say one fuse after the first batt and another after the 2nd before the amp. also a bad ground can blow fuses ot stray wires in the wrong place.
  11. minor blemishes are no big deal and they tend to save you bank
  12. wire them together in the box so there is only one speakerwire coming from the box (pos and neg) i know fosgate and sounddomain.com have good wiring diagrams to show you how to wire the subs togehter wiring diagram http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp
  13. i would go with the 12's ... ive had one of those diamonds before and i actually made the ground vibrate. my friends could hear it clean from the other side of my school (1/8 mile) ....... off just one and 400 watts max
  14. dual 2 ohm run them into a 1 ohm load .... dual 4 ohm run them into a 2ohm load with a 1600 wat hifonics
  15. if you get dual 2ohm go for the hifonics 1200, if you go with 4ohm go with the hifonics BXI1606 (thats what im running) its a very good match for this sub, it will sound gooood .... it makes my right ear hurt i can also give you a good tip for cutting the hole too. use a circle jig to cut an 11" hole then use a jig saw to cut the rounded corners, works amazing and is quicker and cleaner than just using a jig saw
  16. i am running the speakers off the head unit, but my subs drown them out. would http://sonicelectronix.com/item_6553_Hifon...n+TXi+4406.html be better? the speakers are 75wrms and that amp is 55wrms ... deck is about 22wrms. @4ohms
  17. yeah ive used power acoustiks before, i was lookin to try and theme it, but ima do whats cheaper lol. thanks
  18. i know man, thats why i posted, im still lookin, but the more arguments the more stuff i look for. i want to get another hifonics amp to match but its like $100 more
  19. im tryin, what is a good flex song? one with lots of lows? i have a bass test that might do goood
  20. none of my amps have ever had the fuses match the wattage but they all perform good
  21. k, cuz im really going for cheap but decent, my budget is not big at all
  22. http://sonicelectronix.com/item_7079_Crunch+PZi+100.4.html# want it for my Fosgate Punch 6.5"s
  23. well for some reason it wont load with music so here it is
